First, why is it that when I scan people's employee discount they also get a "Employee appreciation" applied.
Also, how do people get their discount barcode on their phone?

The appreciation thing is probably the 20% wellness discount which is applied to c9, fruits and veggies, and all simply balanced items.

Barcode on the phone, I'd guess they're using one of those apps where you can scan in membership barcodes, or they're using CurrentC.

Hi there! I also have a question about using a discount for electronics. New TL here and brand new to Target... So I apologize if there has already been a question similar to this. I recently moved into my apartment & decided to use the 10% off electronics coupon one day sale. I bought 2 TV's, one for my room and one for my living room. The total was around $430. My BF was there also since he lives with me. Would something like this raise a red flag with AP, even though both purchases were for my home? I didn't purchase it at my home store since the other Target was closer. I used the 10% off electronics, my TM & my debit red card. Thanks in advance for your help!

Target gives domestic partners discount cards. Go on to Ehr and request a card for your boyfriend.

There is an app called CurrentC that let's you put in your employee discount number, Cartwheel, and RedCard in one place and then creates a unique barcode to pay. My store promoted this, so it's a legit form of payment.
Does it work for just one app? Or could I if I still worked for Target give it to multiple people so they can use the discount? That is the main issue I have with it, unless it is a spouse, domestic partner, or child or if you are with the person and actively part of the purchase you should NOT be allowing anyone else to use your discount.

As long as you purchase it...you will be fine.

That I don't know. You do have to sign up for an account and it has to be approved. You'll get an email a couple days after applying to be part of it.

OMG people. He's a corporate mole. Just say we can only use the TM card. Stop saying anything else because he's trying to track you down.

I know you're trying to be funny, but some people are pretty paranoid about this and this won't help. Answering a general post in this forum isn't going to allow anyone from corporate to track you down.

The problem with this is that it's company policy to show your discount card to get your discount. If you're shopping in another store, they may follow the policy very strictly. Keep your discount card on you in case they don't accept an app.

HI. The CurrentC app is specifically mentioned in cashier online training. It also suggests adding both your redcard and employee discount to the app. If a store is refusing your team member discount through the app, they're not following their training.

I haven't seen any company policy specifically calling out that a team member needs their physical discount card to use said discount, and if it does indeed exist, it may be outdated.

Only CurrentC may be used. Workbench says those other programs may not be used, so if you are outside of your store, you need the discount card.
