Archived I got a 13 cent raise today for my review.

I got an E and a 0% raise. I know I'm not capped because I only make $10.50. Ah well, they can expect a 0% increase in effort from me in the future, less than that if you take into account inflation....

Did they say why there was no raise?

Nope, only that I "had it in me to get a higher score next year"

I thought about asking ETL HR not because anything would change, but rather just to see what BS excuse she has.

Finally got my review & it was an E; no raise 'cause I'm capped. First yr ever.
My TL was ticked 'cause he'd given me an EX which would've netted me something but no, he was overridden.
He says he's going to bat for me but I'm not holding out much hope.

It's one thing to say that you can get a better score but another to not give you any raise at all.
I can see only giving you .10 or something cheapshit like that but nothing!?
That is unacceptable!
Sorry man but you got screwed.
I don't know what the hell is wrong with your management but they really have serious issues.

At least he was honest with you and will take a shot at it.
A boss that at least expresses his frustration with a system that screws you over is better than a boss who tries to justify the BS.

Eh, my time with Target will be coming to an end soon enough but thank you. At least this reminds me why I left for school in the first place. As soon as I find full time work I'll be done.

I'm not mad for myself but rather for the fact that there's people at my store who are probably in the same situation and don't have the ability to leave Target any time soon. People who are struggling to make ends meet while this company is pissing away money on stock options, corporate jets, and "being bold"...

Maybe after a year i'll be able to afford new socks with my new found wealth.

I got 14 cents.

The saddest thing is that I got my biggest raise (A WHOLE QUARTER) when I was on LOA for a year...

Yep, that makes me feel like I'm in the right career.

Finally got my review...IE for a whopping $0.08 prorated for 7 months of work. According to my Sr GSTL "anyone new in position is given an IE since you don't really know the job yet and can't really exceed that." I've been a GSA for 4 of my 7 months, and have taught my GSTL and Sr GSTL both how to do things during that time. The one that killed me was getting an E for attendance...I've never called out in 7 months, and I was late once by 20 minutes when I wrote down my start time incorrectly. I've also never refused (ever) when asked to stay late. I know my Sr GSTL has called out before because I got pulled from p-fresh to cover her shift. I was tempted to ask if she got an E for attendance.

She was busy talking about putting me on a path to team leader while covering all of this, so I would assume it probably comes from higher up that because pro-rating would gut my raise and I took a promotion after 3 months of work that they might as well dump an IE on me (apparently nobody in the entire store got an O, and over half the store got an IE).

0.37 and an EX this year, which was lower than the .48 last year, but I'm okay with it. Gave a polite smile to the electronics TM bragging about his $0.22: "25 cents is the highest raise you can get!" I'm fortunate in that my TL likes me a lot.

Hm ive only been working with target for 5 months and I got an E. Only an 11 cent raise, which sucks though. I also only got an E for attendance and ive never called off, never been late, and always stay late when they need me! Lol i had straight E's all the way down the paper. Its like they don't even give you what you deserve, they give you whatever they need to keep you from getting a bigger raise

Yeah, I wanted to know how I only rated an E for attendance when 90% of the time I clock in 5 minutes early and the other 10% of the time I'm no less than one minute early, and I never call off, I stay late and such. The attendance one is completely bull.

I probably got that same BS. My GSTL didn't even show me the breakdown on my review.

You might want to ask for copy of it. You are supposed to sign it.

If I saw the GSTL in question or my ETL-HR more than once every couple months, you better believe I would.

Ask you Lod about it.

Got a 3.5% EX and am entering the GSA pipeline. Sure the money sucks, but compared to the rest of the team it's not bad at all if you ask me.

I got a 36 cent increase.

My TL asked for any comments, concerns or complaints after the review and I basically took that time to explain why they need to train me in bike building. Since I'm usually the toys/sporting goods closing zoner, it would definitely help.

Ha! The guy that used to be our bike builder is now our SFT. So when we needed bikes built a couple weeks ago this is the conversation I had with my ETL.

ETL: Josiah, do you know how to build bikes?

ME: Not really. I've never done it before.

ETL: Do you think you could do it? We need some built for the weekend.

ME: I could probably figure it out.

I have a bike building shift on the schedule this week so I guess I'm the permanent bike builder now.

I got a 35 cent raise with and EX. Has anyone ever gotten an O? I have been with spot for almost 2 years and gotten an EX on both reviews, but never got an O on any of the things we are rated on.

Years (& I mean YEARS) ago I got an 'O'.
The yr Gregg eliminated specialists, I got bumped down to an 'EX'. It was the lowest I could get & still get a raise.
This yr I finally got bumped down to an 'E'; no raise despite the fact I've gone above & beyond my core roles, learned more areas to maintain my global status, stayed when asked, came in early when asked, came in when asked.
Not good enough, apparently.

I got an O every year for the first 10 years. I dropped to an EX the past 3 years. I was not surprised since management has changed each of the past 3 years. The 2-3 people that were given the O's that were allowed deserved them. I found it interesting that I was 1 point away each of those years.

I was curious if anyone was able to get "O"s anymore. The excuse I heard was that our store wasn't performing well enough, despite the fact that my department exceeded last year's sales.

I used to be a teacher. If we used this method to evaluate students it would go down like this:

Well, class, 5 of you got A's on yesterday's test! That's awesome! 8 of you got 100%, but I'm only giving out 5 A's because the football team didn't win the state championship.

There is so much this here I can't stand it.
