I’ve been with Target for nearly 16 years; primarily working Overnight Flow and Backroom. For the most part, I enjoyed coming to work and the people I worked with. We’re a high volume store, so the hours were there and I was pretty content.
Last year we made the 4am Flow transition and it’s pretty much been downhill from there. Hours were cut almost immediately, we lost a lot of great people, and everyone that stuck around were pretty miserable. I stuck it out for the past year, trying to remain positive, but it’s clear Target isn’t the same company that they were when I started.
Long story short, I got the good news that I got the job I applied for months ago. I made a lot of great friends working at Target, but the company is heading in a direction that I want no part of and I couldn’t be more excited to finally get out of there.
