tomorrow is my first 8 hour shift (sO not excited)
and so i gotta take a meal & in my state its 6 hours
so if im working 9:30 am to 6 pm when do i have to take my meal before?
im a cashier, i get told when to go by the gtsl right?? if he hasnt told me to by when should i remind him? im stressed

don't stress
when you go in, ask the gstl when your break times are.
especially this week, all breaks will be planned out and given to you in advance.

You need to take a lunch before 3:30 that day. If no one gives you a lunch by 3:15, I would turn off my light and get my gstl over there.

Also, you can't take your lunch too early. I always tell new TMs that you can't go 6 hours without touching the time clock in some way (either go clock out for lunch or clock out for the day). Most people never have an issue with taking a lunch too early unless they get asked to stay late.
