Hello all! Let me start off by saying I'm very glad I came across this forum! I currently work in a grocery store (and have for almost 3 years), but have recently been offered a TPS position with Target. I do have a couple concerns thought that I hope you may be able to help with:
1) When I got my conditional job offer, I had to take a drug test and background check. I'm not even remotely concerned about either of these, as I don't do drugs and have stayed out of trouble my whole life. However, the HR person I spoke with told me they would call me within seven days to set up an orientation, but it's been ten days and I haven't heard back. Called the store today and was told HR wouldn't be in until Monday. I'm starting to get a little worried, anyone know what might be up?
2) Provided I do get the position, I'd love all the advice I can get, from anyone in AP or any team member in general. I've never worked for a national company before (the grocery store I work at is a smallish, local chain) so I'm wondering what it's actually like. Do you feel like Target as a whole cares about you? Is it a company you would recommend working for? Is there anything I should do to stand out as a great worker?
Thanks for reading, and sorry about the mega-long first post!
