At my store, the base salary is $9.5o for Cashiers, Cart Attendants, Food Ave and Hardlines. As far as I know GSA's only make 50 cents more per hour (which I think is bs) What's it like at your guys stores?

I won't say exactly. But our base is much lower than that....

Food Ave is .25 above base though.

Food Ave is $0.50 over base here, GSA is $1.00 over base.

Then again our base is a dollar less than yours.

$9.50 for cashiers, CA, FA, and Hardlines?!?

Good God, I wish I got paid that much. 3 years at Target and I'm no where near $9.50.

By the way, base pay where I am for virtually every Team Member (with the exception of electronics) is &7.25.

Ugh, so I'd make 7.75 as GSA at your store? No thanks :/

Unless you had experience from another store (or experience in general), then yes, as a direct GSA hire, this would be what you make.

I make more than 7.75 as a GSA but I had two review raises before I got promoted that helped out a lot. And I was told today our base pay is going up significantly. So now I'll probably make the same as cashiers and cart attendants.

Same boat as you, OP. I'm not sure on current GSA pay as it has gone up and down in the past between $.25 and $.50, but I am fairly certain it is $.50 higher than cashiers. You had left out softlines, operator, and comp shop, which are also in the N03 category with cashiers, food avenue, etc.

The next level of $.25 more includes electronics, in stocks, HR clerk, and used to include "brand" team members. Can anyone confirm if that still exists as a "new" position? I believe it does, but I can't think of having seen it posted in quite some time. I've seen receiving and signing fall into this category, however a lot of others have it in N07 or N09 as they were once specialist positions.

Following that anyone on logistics is coded at the $.50 higher rate-flow or back room day/early morning. Pricing and planogram also fall into this category, but in stores where they are separated I believe pricing may be the grade below.

All said, nothing is set in stone and if a higher pay is required for retention a work center may be bumped up to prevent further turn over.

Let's not forget that raises that come with promotions are negotiable. Base pay for gsa may be .50 more than cashier, but you walk in a cashier, get promoted to gsa, and tell them why you're going to be the best damn gsa ever, you could be walking out with a full dollar pay

Depends on your HR. When I asked about negotiating a promotion raise I was simply told "no".

My experience and how it was explained to me about negotiating was that negotiations are only made for Team Lead positions and higher (other pay grade 11/13 are not negotiable, such as certified pharmacy technician) if being hired directly into the role. Promotions from Team Member to Team Lead are given a take or leave non-negotiable offer. In the case I am personally familiar with a newly hired Team Lead was offered nearly $3.00 more than a team member being promoted later to the same position.

Nah you can negotiate if you jump from TM to TL but you better have a great point to why you want a higher raise I got $1.50 more because of previous experience as a manager. Still make less then a newly hired external TL though by $1.50 im at $14.50 and she is at $16. It sucks but hey thats target for you. No she is not a Sr.Tl either
