If sales at most stores went like ours did tonight, Target is going to stay open until Midnight (or later) next Christmas. We surpassed sales so much that it is impossible for the uppers to ignore it and see it as an opportunity to go even bigger next year.

Staying open until 11 brought in all the crazies who would normally go to Walmart as we were the only place to go. It's only a matter of time until we start staying open until 2am on Christmas day

The sad thing is I bet those Corp. Fuckers didn't go into the office Xmas eve or if we stayed open all of Xmas they wouldn't even be working that day!

they hear you they are everywhere. And as much as it pains me to even appear to defend our Overlords but there would have to be a support staff at HQ if the Stores remain open. but it might be framed out to Target India

We were only a little behind our forecast for the day when i left at 6:30 so I have no doubt we made our sales

The worst are the people on Facebook tanking Target for being open on Christmas eve.

Seriously if I didn't know Target spied on our accounts I'd have sonthing to say to a few of those assbuts.

We made sales, I know that much.
Our neighbors Walmart and Kohl's closed at 6 and 8 so we were slammed and got our fare share of crazies.
Had a woman parked on our sidewalk banging on the door at 11pm DEMANDING to be let in because- wait for it- she forgot her phone. Held up the GSA and the LOD (both women) demanding we search the whole store. Was still there at 11:30 when I clocked out. Got escorted out shortly after by the LOD and a guy TM.

We hit goal but I don't think we went over. On the down side, we had some major thefts, with one dude pushing a cart full of merchandise (including several flat tvs) through the fire doors into a waiting U-Haul before anybody could respond. And that was only one incident; there were several others.

Why do you all give a shit if you made or passed the goal...lol. More money does not equal more hours. Just look at January schedules ..lol.

All stores horde hours after Christmas. You don't see a major shopped holiday until Easter and Summer. So stores are hording hours. Then horde more for BTS. And then for the 2016 Holiday season.

The sales goals for this year pay for next years hours.

If you don't make goals, your store gets crap for hours next year.

What if it was all volunteers who worked that day?

Wrong! There have been times where they literally gave away hours simply because they were expendable. Regardless if they even needed that many people in store. Good sales always equal more hours.

But if management feels that they don't need that many people working, wouldn't it be in their OWN best interest to not use the the hours so as to beef up their bonus???

That's messed up that Target didn't close until 11 pm on Christmas Eve. Which most employees probably didn't leave until 1130 or midnight (my store gave employees 30 minutes to an hour to clean up during the holiday season) Especially since most people spend Christmas Eve with thier families.

I'm just happy my new job closed at 6 on christmas eve. Target was the only one who stayed open that late. Heck, even Walmart closed at 8
