Archived Stepping down

I am currently in an asset protection role and got a promotion at my other job so I no longer have open availability. If i step down does that mean I will no longer work for the company? Or am I still able to be a regular team member?

Depends.
You might be required to transfer simply because of what knowledge you were privy to at your current store.
Or leadership might worry about what type of info you could divulge to TMs re: AP practices.

I recently stepped down from Food TL to barista and they made me switch stores to do it. Oddly enough, they didn't make me switch stores when I stepped down from SrTL to TL, even though I still knew things like the code to the safe in the cash office.

Also depends on the role you are transitioning to. We had a fulltime TPS go to 15-20 hours. See if your leader can work with you.

I have worked my way all the way down and never switched stores because of stepping down.
