Depends where you live. That's a little more than ETLs start at where I live.
Really?!?! I thought my area would have the lowest starting rates for ETLs. The cost of living here is almost dirt cheap and they offered me more than that

A year ago when they were trying to convince me to become an etl, they said it would be around $45k. That's a lot more than I was making in terms of actual money, but about the same amount per hour if you look at 55 hours per week (40 normal hours plus 15 of time and a half). Not worth it for me.

2 part answer:

on paper, the raise was $4, but it was actually $3 due to losing a shift differential. However, after a first review 5 months in, that went up to a $5 raise, 4 when considering a shift diff.

but like everyone says, all stores are not the same. Having a degree impacts how you can negotiate, as well as your time with the company (the longer you've been with the company the smaller your promotional raise is).

Also, all positions are not the same. The smallest raise I saw someone get was when they moved from a human resources member to a starbucks team lead: $1.05/hr. The biggest change for her was getting a guaranteed 40 hours a week. Plus you accrue vacation faster.

Another bonus is the potential to make a ton of money on holidays!

Not sure what your at now but I'm in the D.C. I talked with my hr and they informed me I can transfer over as a tl or srtl and keep my current pay of just over 20.00 an hr

Im afraid ti negotiate when the time comes because they might just retract the offer lol
They won't, lol. Negotiation results depend on your store/district and how valuable you will be and how much they need you. Just be aware that they might say take it or leave it, then you decide.

They definitely won't retract the offer. Usually, a negotiation is expected. A TL was hired at our store and the STL accidentally sent an email to all ETLs and the SrTLs. It was instructing the ETL who was there to offer a certain amount and if the TL asked for more, the ETL was only permitted to counter with .25 more. Some time after that TL was hired, he was talking to me about how he wished he was making more and I laughed. He asked me why, so I told them he could have asked for more and gotten it. Too bad he didn't try to negotiate.

Are TL positions and up the only positions that are negotiable? How about something like GSA?

You can try! My store doesnt negotiate with GSAs. They figure we can sucker someone else in for fifty cents.

One of our maintenance specialists brought in over 80 Grand last year. Crazy.

Is that the same thing as PMT or is it another position? I'm not sure what the wage cap is, but I can't imagine an N17, even in my high paying area, making that much in a year.

A DC tech. They make a lot more than a PMT

My raise was $3.50 from my GSA pay...making less than $15 as Salesfloor Team Lead (our ENTIRE SF is combined into 1 role, luckily our FA TL took responsibility of Consumables). We are a lower volume store, but for the responsibility I have I just...don't find it fair and wasn't even aware I could potentially negotiate the pay.

You can also always check Glassdoor website and you can narrow it down by location... for Target there's quite a few salaries on there.

ASANTS but at our store-the newbies are hired around $14/15. We then have some making $21/$22 which is about the upper end for us. One of our more senior TLs did a great job and hogged time through out the year. This person made roughly $49,800.00 (close enough to $50k) in 2016. Way to go as the STL and ETLs should have been on that one.
