Does anyone have any info on if TL minimum Pay will increase since TM wage is increasing? I’m currently a closing lead and don’t make much more than $15 A hour. The position wouldn’t be worth it to me if I’m barely making more than my team members.

You should be making at least 17.00 an hour. Hopefully, you mentioned something about pay your mgt about pay before you took the job. Every store is different. Also, Ck your paygrade on workday. IMG_0482.PNG

I think it will have to or they'll lose more TLs. I expect moving to 17.50.
They will maintain a $4/hr delta between TL and TM. So when minimum is $15/hr for TM, expect minimum TL pay to be $19/hr.

Of course this will vary based off of location, but seeing as I live in an area with low COL, I don’t expect to see anything different.

I doubt a single TM in the company makes anywhere near $19.50. Any TM that used to make much more than their peers doesn't anymore due to starting wage increases.

thanks! I’m currently at $17.50. If I was only going to be making 2.50 more an hour then my TM’s I was not going to be happy honestly lol.

we have a couple of TM's who have maxed out on pay rate (been here for like 20 yrs) and don't get a raise but are given a lump sum payment. Has anyone else gotten this and if so how much would you get?

I doubt the TM's with 20+ years make $19.50

The yearly raise tends to be around $0.30.

$0.30 x 20 = $6.00

Base pay was $9.00 in 2014, it will be $15.00 next year, there goes all their raises from 20 years.

I agree with the “there goes their raises” with the continual increase in base pay. It’s happening to anyone who’s already been over that amount. I am curious how you get the yearly raise is only around $0.30? Your raise is a percentage that is based off what you already make. Years ago when we had more then 3 levels for your review a person could get a 5% raise on the best level and at $9/hr that is $0.45. A team member that has been with the company for 20 years could make $19.50. There are so many variables that could play into this. You used to get an extra dollar an hour if you came in before a certain time. When they took that away the team members who received that kept it added to their hourly rate. There were also “specialists” that had a higher pay and when they took that job away and moved them back down to team member they let them also keep the difference. Essentially it is possible for a long timer team member to make quite a bit. Only thing I’m not sure is what the pay cap was but even with the cap if you received an excellent on your review you could still get a raise.

I haven't heard of any stores where people kept their differential. ie. Former GSA's do not typically make more than other GA's.

There is still a $1 differential for people working overnight.

5% raises might be possible, but they definitely don't seem to be common. I helped my ETL write the reviews when I was a GSA because the only GSTL we had was on LOA. She was told how many people had to be given each category. She couldn't give out more than a set amount of exceeds expectations reviews even if more than that number deserved them.

Most people got 3% raises.

This was a LONG time ago and yes we got to keep the differential both times when they did away with our early shift incentive and when they did away with specialist role. I know that overnight still gets the dollar but my store did away with that. It was rare to get a 5% but I was just saying if you did good enough and received it you could be up to that amount. I know a team member who has been with target for over 10 years and less then 20 and she makes $17ish an hour.

25 years here. I make $20 an hour. My raise the last 3 years has been more than 75 cents each year. Pay when I started as a gstl was $6.25 an hour. There was about a 5 year span where raises sucked, i was in an underperforming store. The first decade or so tl pay raises were .65 cents, before they figured it based off percentage. I’ve never received less than an outstanding review score. I was also maxed out for 3 years and only received a quarter raise during that time. I’ve also been an etl but have demoted and been a tm for the last decade.
Oh another factor to my raises was every time and every store I was in that changed shift pay. When it “went away” I pay raise was given to offset what I would be losing.

You forget that when some if us started 30 plus years ago. The normal raise for a team member was 85 to 90 cents. And if you were really good it was 95 team leaders got 90,95,0r 1.00. That was the first 15 or so years I went from 4.70 to 17.00 pretty quickly as I've been a TL for 31 years. Now up to 29 so it is possible.

With the company for around 4 years. With annual merit raises and a raise for transferring, made more than $20. Also was in a high cost of living area.

I know many Team Members that make over that, including almost $24.
