I'm currently the signing TM at my store. I loved my job starting out. I got things done and was able to help with general store support without being questioned about it. We got a new ETL and my STL really started ripping into me. He's a bit insane and everyone just tries to appease him to be left alone. So that's what I did. I continued doing what I do best and got no feedback, positive or negative from my ETL or TL, which is normal.

Fast forward and my hours are cut to nothing in my workcenter, my STL is still breathing down my neck for no reason and my ETL tells me my job has changed and I'm no longer allowed to perform some of my basic
duties as someone in my position. I feel like I'm being targeted and I don't understand why. I asked my TL what I'm doing wrong and she said nothing as far as she knows. I'm an anxious mess at work now, I feel like everything I do is wrong. I don't feel trusted anymore. I tried going to ETL-HR to at least try to see if I had been getting any negative reports without being told about it and I got nothing.

What are my options? Do I just roll with it? I'm being vague to protect myself.

You never said what your actual role is. You make it sound like you don't have a specific role and you just come in and do whatever you want. Since that role doesn't exist, now you get no hours?

I left it out originally. I'll edit it in. But I'm the signing tm at my store.
 
You sound like the signing TM in every store I've experienced. I've been under the impression for a while now that the signing position is being phased out and transitioned into planogram responsibilities. I'd cozy up to your POG TL and get some hours there because I don't think you'll see an increase in signing hours any time soon.

My POG TL has been giving me hours, but I get 8 signing hours on the norm now. I'm being told to do nothing but break down my pallet, put up any late/ordered signing, check upcoming transitions, then report to my TL for further instruction.
 
You'll just have to roll with it I'm afraid. I've been the signing tm at two stores now. It seems to come and go. I feel you right now though. I have about 2 days worth of ordered signing and fixtures that are just sitting. Once they come in, no one has time to put them up. Strollers, cosmetic signing, etc.

I don't get the hours to do it When I ask my tl or ETL about it, I get mixed answers. So the stuff sits.

I love how items still come in with "signing specialist" written on it. I feel like throwing it away.

I work super close with my tl. If I have pressing signing needs, I tell her. Otherwise, she calls the shots. I do revisions, pog, and signing.

This past week, I did ....

Monday - set pogo half the day then signing.
Tuesday/Wednesday- revisions, not new releases or entertainment.
Thursday- signing, softlines.
Friday- set pogs half the day then signing.

It's a good idea to become proficient at setting pogs. 99.9% know how to push. So I do a lot of setting, then move on to signing while it gets pushed.

I hope this helps! Chin up. You can outlast upper management. Just document what you do. And I repeat, become close to your tl.

Fuck....how can they expect anything from you with only one full shift?

I get my usual 28.5isg, but I've been having to switch to pricing or pog to support the team. Or just push behind them or the etl-log gets fussy. Then the etl-ge wants softlines done, stl wants to know when c9 boxes around his office are moving, when vday in fos are coming down. I flat out refused a "can you do this now" request yesterday. I stayed late and the wav is broken...screw you dude.
