You're a jewel, SrLOGtl.
We'll miss your input but spot's loss is Lowes' gain.

I am currently holding in my hands a copy of something called "low volume structure test" fresh off of sharepoint. It details problems and possible solutions to issues with the upcoming test in several stores where TL's are eliminated completely. It's not rumor folks. its fact, and its coming to a store near you soon. You can find out anything you want to know about AE's, structure tests, etc. about 6-9 months in advance by checking sharepoint.Target.com from any store computer. You don't even have to have access to workbench. Just type it in the address bar. More specifically, find info on all HR or structure related projects by going to

It's all there folks. Before it even hits Tina's desk. My gift to you, as I leave spot in two weeks. I would have been performanced out by AE12, but since I knew about it months ago, I had time to look for a better job. I start with Lowes as a ASM 2 mondays from now.

Wow! Good luck & stay in touch! See y'all at lowes!
Dang it! I can't open on the doc on itouch.

Please delete the info on where you found it. Some of us have been using it forever to get info and if they see it perhaps they will lock it down. But yes you can find all sorts of information on there, AE info, PPA grids, succession plans, store pilots, etc. etc.

Too late.

Seriously the last thing we need is for random idiot team member to go looking crap up and spreading it to everyone when it hardly pertains to them.

Freaking take the transfer dude!!!! The STL just told you they are over headcount. That means if you don't transfer they have to get rid of someone. Since he wants you to transfer, that probably means you are the TL he has decided that needs to go. If you don't take the transfer, chances are they will push you out the door totally and you will be looking for a new job.

Yeah. I would take the transfer if I were you. As soon as you get to your new store start your job search!

Yeah... We had our AE meeting Friday and lucky me! I get Pricing and Plano! :girl_cry2: I was kinda hoping that they would give it to the other guy and let me be a GSTL... I'm so not happy about this. I don't think there's a bump in PG but they did tell us that as long as the metric scores are consistently green you can apply for a raise without leaving the position. For Tls, there's a set of 3 PGs... after that you'd have to apply for SrTl is you want a higher PG.

Sorry I havent been around much lately guys. Sorry also that some didn't aprecieate the info. Just trying to give a last tidbit to my "real" Target family. If there's anything I've learned from posting thousands of posts on the old breakroom, its that the people that care what we post don't matter, and the people that matter don't care what we post. I'd be suprised if they know we exist after the site being down and all. Target has been great, but just as many of you warned, with new ETL and STL changes, a great job csn become excruciating. I'm not part of the new sorority, so, I'm on to greener pastures. I wish all of you the best, and I'll be sure to stop by from time to time. I don't want to leave any interested team member in the dark, so my post will stay intact. I'm willing to bet no one will ever be the wiser. You don't even have to log in to workbench to access it. You just open explorer and type it in, or keep it bookmarked on a computer like I do. Any TM can do it. They can't take down sharepoint without cripling HQ operations, and its not built to restrict access. It's built to "share."

I guess I made the right decision to step down last year after all. I have a feeling that the company wil eliminate all full time hourly positions in the near future to save on paying for what little benefits we have left. It's a good thing that I still have my DTL on my side making sure that I get my weekly 40 hours...at least until he gets performanced out!

So if you are a current team leader, can you apply for a higher paygrade anytime you want based on scores? That would suck because I had 9 months of solid green scores in Target Cafe', then got moved to GSTL a week ago. I went into a horrific red everything. Did they intentionally screw me over? Would not doubt it for a second.

At my store, all TLs without at least 60 college credits were recently eliminated.

Obviously they have big plans for the future of TL positions. Either make the requirements much higher to be one, or simply get rid of TLs completely....

So glad I am leaving to Sony.

Well no kidding it is not a news headline. This is a test at only a couple stores that probably impacted 200 TLs tops. In a country of 300 million people what exactly do you expect? A new york times article? "Another company decides to require college degrees" yea, sounds like something everyone outside of target would care about.

Hell when the company demoted thousands of specialists nationwide that didn't even make the news. All they did was demote some tls at limited number of stores this time.

The only way i could prove this would be to reveal my identity and i will not do that, just like srlogtl won't do to prove thr information he had found which regards a plan to eliminate tls totally.

The information he has is only dealing with the lowest volume stores, like D5 or some crap. There are different options they are trying out in all of them but yes one of them is 1 layer of leadership which I told a couple of people about months ago. Since you are leaving Target, go ahead and PM me your store or district so I can see if the degree thing is true or not. I am calling BS on it also like I did last year when it was brought up.

I don't quite understand the Org Chart vs Sales then? We are a B-Volume and Org Chart 3. However, one of our sister stores is also an Org Chart 3 but they have one less ETL than us. We are barely under an A though. Maybe that has something to do with it?

If the other store is the same volume and org chart, it's possible they may have an ETL vacancy that they haven't filled yet. Either that or your store has too many ETLs, hopefully the former.

In the AE meeting they mentioned how we are lucky that we have an ETL-SL and an ETL-GE (unlike Org 1&2), so I'm guessing they're under at the other store; I wonder why they're not actively filling it then. Hmph well, not going to lose sleep over it! :)

At my store, our ETL-SL is also the ETL-GE. We also only have 1 ETL-HL.
