I'd like to believe that we did well. No stress. not much complaining. I think we only had like 50 people in line when I left on Thanksgiving at 5pm. The crowd just showed up later. Strange working this year, since the departures of some of my store's tenured/reliable go-getting leadership and team members. Warehouse still trashed from two double truck unloads earlier in the week. I find it amusing that the Seiki and Polaroid HDTVs didn't sell too much. I had a pallet of Polaroids still left before I left the store today, lol.

On to Cyber Monday, where we will do more orders and cramp up Guest Service and SFS areas!

Yeah but your store is a s-- storm. No stl, no vm, ETLs dropping like flies. Our store was busy but it wasn't overwhelming compared to past years. I

Girl! So damn true!!! We are in the weeds deep and most of the ETL's are shaking in their ballet flats.. As they should..
:eek:o_O:p:D

We did ok, today I did clean up from the Flow team throwing orders together, meaning I went and found items they picked but left the cart on the floor so most of it was stolen when they took their lunch or breaks.. Yes they left their carts on the floor while picking orders. So I had a stack of collates that we were missing pieces for.. Along with picking and packing five pallets of orders.. I was not in the mood to suffer these fools today. Since they also packed a couple rugs by just slapping the label on them packaging card and called it good.. No shrink wrap, no tape nothing..

There was just no compelling reason for them to show up today. Yesterday's decent doorbusters were largely gone and you could get the 20% off coupon all day today. They should've had Saturday Only doorbusters to drive early morning traffic/sales.

Too bad we didn't have Fingerlings in the ad. If we did, I'm sure we would have had some campers.
We actually got some on our lull trailer and we had a few guests waiting patiently just outside the receiving doors and watching the team unload the truck.

Got an extra 2 hours work, which also triggered the 3 hour minimum for overnight shift differential on top of holiday differential and overtime. Booyah!
Damn I forgot about that. I left just before 1am.

Slowest black Friday in recent years. No draw for people to come in when we sold nearly everything online in the days leading up. Everything wife and I wanted, we ordered ahead of time online before Thanksgiving day. So I know quite a few people that didn't bother waiting in line because they didn't need to

Then add in that 90% of the TV deals were either shit TV's (Polaroid, Seiko) or weren't that good of a deal. Everyone bought their TV's when we had the 15% off all TV's.

Unloading a truck at 10pm or midnight makes zero sense. Backroom doesn't have enough time to finish cleaning up, and the store doesn't open back up until 6am. Flow should've came in midnight-5:30am

They also need to provide an extra computer or be able to rig up an iPad to target mobile for faster checkouts. Only 1 computer for them at my store so guests are stuck waiting forever. Didn't help that the system was experiencing technical issues

Some guests last night waited 5 hours in line to get a phone

We destroyed the sales goal yesterday but we also comped up 12%.

Yup We comped up as well but our comp goal difference from 2016 to 2017 was much smaller than the goal difference from 2015 to 2016.

We also sold less in store this year but we didn't have sfs a year ago. Sfs is what helped us blowout our forecast

Not empty at my pfresh store Thursday’s for 6 hours 6 pm to midnight, we did 367 k on a goal of 252 k. And Friday we did 462 on a goal of 501 k.

Busy all day most hours we did 40,000 an hour.

We had several customers that bought their phones on Thursday and had to wait for text messages from our Mobile team to come back into the store for activation - and were still waiting when I got off work at 7 pm Friday.... As I understand it, phone activations got completely borkd up this weekend, to the point where our ETL was handing out a district manager's phone number and gift cards to apologize.

And some guests cut in line, then stomped their feet and screamed that they'd been waiting for 5 hours and would be served NOW, thinking that the loud and blatant hostility would intimidate Mobile into letting them cut. All it accomplished was setting off every guest who got cut, and AP checked the cameras and escorted people out of the store.

Or even going back to just Friday. Our online orders both FA and SFS are on fire but the guests lining up are slowing down.

Amen. I was closing GSTL last night but got pulled to pick orders from about 6pm to close. I was 1 of 5 people just picking. Then, after closing registers, got pulled again to get “trained” on packing. 12 full carts to pack still at 11:30pm. It was me, a cashier, our VML, another GSA, and the LOD still packing the rest of the night (considering the SFS all left at their scheduled time). I only left at 1:15 because I would have gone into compliance. About to go back in here in a few... wonder if the rest of them actually stayed to get it all done

We had an overload on catering from Einstein and then Freebirds the next day. Like literally I could have taken some home that’s how much we had
