Lotion is not part of Transcend. Also, remind your teams to be very careful with the new pieces because they(are supposed to) send you exactly what you need for the full set and we had some broken pieces and had to wait on replacements. Fun times.

They're having a contractor install it? That's surprising because we had to do the install ourselves. It wasn't difficult, and the only problem we ran into was power supplies. Maybe that was enough for Spot to want to pay someone else to do it, though I figured that they'd rather pay a TM less.
We have an electrical contractor here for that part and then there some folks from Apollo Retail Services to build the valances, beacon, cubes, and so on. The overnight POG team is setting the fixtures and that part is fairly easy. Only thing is that our store is also going through the "Destination Beauty" set, as and everything is moving. The problem with this is that some of these POGs don't set until next week. This means we may have an empty aisle until then, although I think they are going to try and set some of them this week. We are missing fixtures, although we hope they just at the back of the storage container. Also we are missing some backer paper and signing that we hope is in the trailer docked at our store. Not sure if we will set the cubes and beacons without this or what, as they are leaving them empty for now.

Everything to starting to take shape at my store. Our signing specialist was digging through the 2 signing pallets that came on today's truck. She has already found lots of missing signs and fixtures, plus some of the stuff for next week (think they are working on some of that tonight). Tonight is the last 10 hour overnight for the POG team. I am working 9-5 tomorrow and hope to spend some time in the rest of my departments. That being said I am sure that I will need to finish stocking a few left over items.

They did it at my old store.
Very nice, shiny.
It look much easier to work worth than the old system I must say.

My team is finishing the set tonight. We are on the last aisle. It has been a very long, stressful week for all of us. We were missing some of the trays and signs we needed to bee 100% complete. We also had some fixtures that we struggled to get into the slots on the wall because the arms on the back of the trays were bent out of shape. This was supposed to be a two week projecct - my team was forced y our TL to do it inside one week. It has been nothing short of a disaster as far as being done on time every night and having everything done correctly the first time.

Tip: Be gentle with the fixtures as you put them into the slots on the sliding walls. If the legs on a fixture are bent and making it difficult to get the prongs to hook into the wall, squeeze them toward each other and it should slip in.

My store still has shampoo, hair color, natural cosmetics, hair appliances, and fragrances to set next week. All of fragrances, hair color, and natural cosmetics are still in the back along with everything else they wanted this one man show to work out today (the rest of team helping with this already worked their 4 10 hour nights, while I worked 5 8 hour days). Only really got one cube set 100% today, as the other has missing product. Also the beacon has missing product, shippers, and a label holders. Left at 5pm felling like I got little done, but of course I back-up cashiered, gave the camera boat their breaks and lunches and help lots of guests. Had to go to back a few time to look for items in a mess of staged product for this set. Did feel good after a guest complimented me on going out of my way to help her find her favorite perfume the staged in the back.

Great. My PTL is having us do it in 3 nights and that's it.

Won't happen. Unless your cosmetics is tiny.. Ours is basically set, but not pushed/backstocked and I have one ETL who doesn't understand why I won't scan it until it is pushed/backstocked.. Its going to be fun without my TL this weekend.. NOT.

Anyone who has already gone through this..... What exactly do the contractors do? Just lighting and moving gondolas/building the glass focals? Do we need to tear down and completely rebuild it from the tile up to put in the electric stuff? No one at my store knows whats going on... im supposed to make a plan before I even see the contractor and find out what they are even doing.

Depends. Are you getting Destination Beauty? Transcend+Destination Beauty? or just doing Transcend?

You should have received two books in your store mail that details everything - one is the ISM Visual Guide, and the other one is the Cosmetics Transition Guide. It should be available on workbench as well.

Another option is to talk to your SFT and find out what he needs to do to deal with the contractors via SFT Field Projects.

we just done with it a week ago but the lights have yet to be turned on.

If anyone is having power issues such as some lights on some off. The fix is to evenly distribute the plugs on the top of the gondola. Some plugs are white some are black. These signify separate circuits. If more are plugged into the white plugs and vice versa you will trip a breaker.

Also did anyone not receive the lighting package for the pro hair pog? I mysupported it and they are sending the parts but wasn't sure what the deal was...

My store finally started setting. And holy shit, those aisles are bright. I felt like I was gonna go blind when I was doing the cosmetics re-shop. But it looks great........for now.

It actually holds up really well. I was surprised as well, but ours still looks fantastic after 18 months. If your stores didn't receive any, you'll want to order the plastic covers for the signage. They're essentially little screen protectors that are designed to cover the signs and you can peel them off if guests decide to test the makeup on the fixture. It's way better than trying to wash them off every set.

WTF why do we carry the flippin most expensive face product on the face of the earth just out on the shelf for anyone to grab. Its the same brands Macy's and whatnot have behind glass cases. I have a feeling the corporate Plano team, never asks the corporate AP team anything. Oh wait wouldn't matter because none of them have experience in real world retail anyway.

Probably the smartest thing Target decided to do.

ETL-Sales Floor said he would order a new box every month XD

Are they rolling this out company-wide?

http://thebreakroom.org/index.php?threads/transcend-beauty-cosmetics-remodel.3154/

EDIT: nevermind, the linked thread answers that question. Yes.

Yep, they are rolling it out company-wide. It's called Transcend Beauty. I've mentioned it in the Signing thread. The first group of stores is at the beginning of March, and everybody else is April. You will have to check workbench to find the spreadsheet to find out what your store's Target date is. This will be a two-week project.
two weeks? My store its only one week.. we're doing it in 4 days.. we just did our electronics transition I really like that new look... We are however going over night to do it...(just as we did for electronics..)

My store did it in one week also.

My store STILL hasn't done the perfume aisle or the Burt's Bees stuff.

The problem with the Burt's Bees aisle is that it also has the "Yes To" stuff and it's where the make-up bags were. Well the make-up bags were moved to their new spot but there's still an empty 8-foot sections where they used to be.

What did you do to make cosmetics look presentable before you did transcend? We have so many holes and clearance that it looks really bad right now. Not sure when they are doing the reset but I need a plan to make it look better until they do.
