Anyone have any shoes they highly suggest for comfort? I know with time I'll get use to standing so much again, but...right now my feet are highly sore....:|

I've been using the Dr. Scholl's work shoes for years and been pretty happy.
They're not pretty but very comfortable and functional.

I used to work at Clark's, lots of options there. The "unstructured" line has extra support, cushioning, and ventilation -made for those who are standing on their feet all day.

It took me almost 2weeks to get used to standing on register, but now my feets can bare it without any insoles or comfort shoes. However now i have small knee pains which i dont think i'll ever get used too. It's not too serious to bother me in normal life. But it's hard not to lock your knees when you stand so long...

New Balance, Sketcher Work shoes...then wear a 1/2 or 1 size shoe bigger as your feet will swell during a shift and get hard & firm orthodic arch supports or insoles.

Crocs, they truly are the most comfy shoe, and they come in all kinds of styles & colors. I would highly recommend crocs for anyone who has foot pain. Makes a huge difference!

Brooks is also an awesome line of shoes. I went to a running store and got fitted, would've never thought I'd be in a neutral shoe...but I always wear my Brooks on truck days.

DO NOT wear classic vans, especially if your a logistics TM, i was limping by the end of an 8 hour shift, i heard alot of good things about a certain NIKE type of running shoe, idk what its called

I agree with you on this! I wear Brooks too.

Also, be mindful of how much you spend on shoes. I have gone through several pairs of shoes over the years at target...pallets, flats, and tubs do a number on the toes, and rip them up.

What footwear you get should be based on your arch type, which can change over time. Once you know that, most major brand websites, (Asics for axample), will suggest shoes for that arch type. SF Tm's should wear a running shoe due to the pounding your joints take on those awful floors. Cashiers could go with a cross trainer, which tend to be less expensive. I have learned over the years that you really do get what you pay for with shoes. I am currently having good luck with Ascis gel. I search for shoes based on their site recommendations and have mot been dissapointed. I have had luck finding discontinued styles on clearance on Amazon.

i wore basketball shoes for my first few days and my feet absolutely killed.. i picked up some reebok zigtechs or whatever they are called them and i havent had sore feet since.. they were on the pricey side, i know i spent a little more then 100$ on them but they also have great traction if your in the parking lot doing carts likeme

Right now, New Balance wide work shoes. New Balance ain't what they used to be and my feet are starting to hurt again after only 3 months of wearing them. Anyone have any luck wearing hiking boots? I'm seriously thinking of going that way...

Question how can you wear crocs if you cannot wear open toed shoes?? They have holes at the top and they are open at the end?? At my store that would be a big no-no!

I went to their site and they do have some without holes. Is there a policy prohibiting strap backs?

There is a style called Chelea that is all leather, completely covering heel and toe, but I don't seem to be able to find it in a brick and mortar store. Hate to buy them and then have to pay to return them.

I really need to find a shoe that can hold up to all the pounding!

I know at my store specifically as long as the heel isn't exposed you are in the clear.... They worry about things getting dropped on etc, etc.

Crocs has a clog with solid sides and a back called "specialist". It's very comfy.

man, i wish i had an answer... after being on LOA for 4 months and coming back I must have flared up my foot pretty bad.. and even steroids haven't fixed it completely. it's a pain in the foot....

If you get them in black and wear the strap in the back they look like shoes, especially if your pants are a little long. If you have plantar faciitis, you might want to check out Dansko's as well. Good luck!
