so I hit exactly 6 hours last night. I was the closing cashier and was helping in soft lines after close (per the gstl) and lost track of time. I rushed to the time clock and it was exactly 6 hours. So I got coached today. And told that there is no second chance. Ugh! Don't schedule people to leave at 11 when you know they aren't going to leave before 12.

i think it should be the gstl's or lod's responsibility to send you on a lunch if need be.

Your lod & gstl would gotten alerts for compliance at 15 mins before 6 hours. The gstl should of followed the break schedule & saw your time. But, you have the responsibility alone to go to lunch without direction before 6 hours.
