WTF??? Are you kidding me??? Serious question. Are you joking or not? How did that change?

I was hoping to go back to TL in the long term.... but WTF? For $1? Who would do that? No way would it be worth it.

Many years ago when I promoted to specialist I got a $2 raise and when I moved up to TL it was another $3. And now a jump from TM to TL is $1? How greed can corporate get?

Yeah, it happened a bit back in 2012. I noticed that half the people in my store stopped even looking forward to moving up when they saw the pay scale. The only benefit at this point is that you are guaranteed 32 hours.

Part of the reason I even gave up even seeking to promote, whats the point. Im a "High Performer" and have asked my STL about doing mock interviews and team lead stuff and they were enthusiastic but nothing ever came of it. Ive been a PA for about a year and a half and I am pretty much guaranteed 30 hours at least. I would say the last 5-6 months ive been averaging about 36 hours a week. The other PA is going though all the TeamLead stuff with mock interviews, district interviews etc etc and was leading another team outside market for leadership experience.

All the while my CTL moved to Plano about 7 weeks ago, our new TL comes in next week, The PA mentioned above barely worked market, leaving me with 2 seasonal TMs and a recent xfer for the pfresh team. I was ALSO leading the Ad Set team overnight during this whole period. Looked at our scores from this week for 4 week rolling and they were pretty much the highest they ever have been in the year and a half of pfresh and thats without our CTL and the other PA working maybe 1-2 shifts of market a week if that. I showed my ETL the scores and he joked about not even needing a teamlead. I think its funny though because I was basically leading 2 teams, and drove our score through the roof yet nobody mentions TL training or promotion or anything. At this point it just doesnt seem worth it to me. Go through all the hoops, get signed off, hope that a position opens up, somehow get that position, and get a whole $1 with rediculous expectations. All being strung along for how long, another year? 2? Just not worth it imo.

When my ETL-HR said to me yesterday, "let's get going on this GSA thing so we can get you going to TL," I thought of this thread and just laughed and groaned.

Yeah I promoted to TL pretty recently and only got $1.25 raise... My raises went from PG7> + around $1 for PA> + $1.25 for TL, excluding my yearly raise. Pretty annoying when another TL I know who got promoted in late 2011 got like a $3.50 raise from PG7. W/E I'll take whatever I can get while I'm working at Target.

I regret not taking the TL position earlier... My raise from TM to PA was larger than from PA to TL. Just wasn't planning on staying back the last time they wanted me to promote. Oh well, plans change.

Everyone should read the annual financial statement they put out for stockholders (which many TM's are). Last years said that the primary reason for the increase in profitability for the company in 2011 was due to lowering payroll costs vs previous years. Which to me means yeah me make them do more and pay them even less now...:gamer3: Ohhhhh, so that's why NO work center has the amount of hours needed for the workload. Thanks Spot!

I went from a PG09 to PG17 for my SFT position which resulted in a $6.50 raise, so some promotions are still worth it, you just have to keep looking if you want to stay in the company.
