MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Doing totals for this:

We got 22 cases of the Cheese Cube pushers, 22 large grids, 5 smaller grids, 11 cases of baffles, 8 cases of the flat shelves for the grids, and like 8 cases of another pusher

Not sure why they sent so much if POGs don’t even call for it 🤷‍♂️

There was a communication to save the extra fixtures for a future project.

Yeah I saw this - just scares me a bit about this “future project” when we had just redid all those aisles. But I know that’s how target works lol

I'm usually pretty good at finding stuff on workbench so I'm curious what it is too.
Yeah me too haha

I already found some future seasonal sets and how they may look. However I can’t find anything about those extra fixtures lol

It sounds like they're asking us to save these fixtures for hypothetical future sets, as in they don't want to have to order any more and they're counting on us hanging onto what we've got should they ever decide to add more fixtures to the POGs down the road. Maybe it's of those cases where the supplier sells these fixtures in strictly set quantities and Target had to over-order to get the quantity stores need for this reset.

How many has room to store excessive fixtures? Without a knowledgeable pog Tl who even knows what fixtures are on hand and where they're at? Man I'm sounding more and more as a negative person.

As we approach BTS and Q4, our SD is already questioning every pallet spot. I'm already having to say we'll use those pallets of shelves for BTS in a couple of weeks so don't do anything to them.

It's our job to do the thinking. It's corporate's job to make the decisions before any thinking has been done. 🙃

Is there a certain fixture we use to put the label strips in the vendor checklane coolers?
It's called 'Product ID Strip, Clear TVM-36SL' as long as your coolers are the True Manufacturing TVM-36SL - They are 22.38 each, and falls under the refrigeration repair budget.

Part Number 848321 (Supplier) or just search Product ID Strip.

Or you can print individual labels and use like the swing label, but I like their holder better - less likely to disappear

So what is this for? I know it's for the space grids but what does it do?

It's to help the airflow to the pushers on the grid - I put them in meal solutions last night as I had to redo mine.

I put it do the rough surface is on the bottom and the smooth top is angled down towards the pushers. If you look at the pog it says 'use baffle per row of pushers' and one of them should've had the instructions wrapped around it.

Or you can check the instructions on workbench for the Space Grids.

I can try to get you a photo tomorrow if you want

If my sleuthing is correct this is the last total rework of a department (outside Rear Seasonal/Mini of course) until Baby next spring. I think Toys was supposed to be really big this July but it got paired back to a more standard transition.
