MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Apologies if this has been brought up. I have called the CSC about it but got no solution. I have an in-aisle planogram that got untied because a salesplan was accidentally tied in its place. This is an issue because it means that Fills can't be generated for that POG and the Fulfillment team is all sorts of confused about it.

The problem is, the POG doesn't show up as overdue or discontinuing in Set Workload. Since it doesn't exist in Set Workload, there isn't any way to tie because they removed tying from the POG Detail screen. So WTF???
The only time I have run into this issue is because there is a newer pog for that aisle so the old pog isn't in the workload anymore. Is there a revision or maybe a new pog that is supposed to set in that aisle?

Yes, there is a new future POG, but it is not within the realm of possibility to set that POG at this time. It would be too much additional workload outside of when it was planned to be completed. I just needed to be able to tie the current POG so that fulfillment and replenishment wouldn't be negatively affected.

What department is the POG in?

If it's too close to the discontinue date, the system will not allow you to re-tie the POG. I know you said it doesn't show as discontinuing soon, but if you have new POG you can see coming up, it likely is discontinuing. Your best bet to continually having pulls generate/findability is to store tie the items.

When a POG becomes too old, it deletes itself automatically from the system which is why it don't exist anymore. Your only option is to set the new POG or god willing, store tie each item which I don't recommend. Unfortunately this is what happens when you ignore your overdue aisles for too long.

There is a different option when a pog is discontinuing that you got to scroll over too that it might show the pog there instead. In set workload at the top where it shows overdue this week next week ect, just scroll to the right at the very end is discontinuing pogs.

For my POG peeps. There's this huge project next year called "Commercial Activation" (A+ corporate speak name) which is basically a one time investment in updating huge areas of the store. So think the massive storage or sporting goods sets of 2025 except like being done 8 times.

Will this be on top of the possible big transitions in OTC, men’s grooming and babies again…? Ugh

Baby and men's grooming is apart of it. Sporting goods gets a couple of big changes - in February to eliminate the rest of the bike wall and then in October when fan central moves into Domestics (for most stores) and SG gets a total 100% change again. Dry grocery/snacks gets a big reflow and so does P-Fresh (supposedly Super Targets are doing an even bigger Dry Grocery change). OTC is supposed to add taller gondolas in front of CVS to expand space but it sounds like they're holding off the biggest expansions in that area until remodels happen.

I knew sporting goods is getting rid of the bike wall - our fan central was meant to be in style, but they never got our fixture package in remodel (lol) so now it just lives in each department in style.

I wonder what will replace Ulta for stores that have it on the beauty floor plan between OTC and beauty 2.0

If the bike wall is going does this mean we will no longer sell bikes 20 inch or larger?

We need more vitamins and band-aids? Or is this to allow enough space to actually FIFO the OTC meds without having to take everything out first? That would be nice.

It has some codename I forgot. I think it mostly expands style or style and beauty depending on the store format.

Pretty much. By next fall I guess the entire bike wall becomes the Champion shop and the rest of SG grows into categories like wellness and team sports.
We aren't going to be selling bikes anymore? Not sure if the TM who builds our bikes will be happy or sad about that.

Not the ones we build. Just a bunch of unproductive space. Before they shrunk it last time I saw a number where water bottles sold like $200 per linear salesfloor space for every $1 the bike wall did.

We also got 3 boxes but I didn't open any of them up- just palletized all of the TAT ISM and had it shoved outside in pod out of the way for now. I thought 3 boxes seemed excessive though especially since they all were very heavy.
I found the paper - for the middle low gondolas and behind it with the 84 and 54, the paper is in kit, HARDN1539.1 this includes the stickers for the trees, minted backer paper and header, and the two endcap headers

Cant wait to see the champion shop on those 30” inch basedecks with the 18 inch shelves. Lol!

Also, has anyone got to experience this yet? View attachment 17173

Don't forget the extra tall pegboard too! 😆

Way back when, if you tied a reverse POG and then printed a paper copy of it, it would print the schematics already in reverse for you. This is going to really mess with veteran POG setter's brains! But it will help with newbies learning.

I miss those days! Almost back to the good old Online Planogram.

As for the extra tall pegboard, they'll go 'WE ADDED THIS REVOLUTIONARY NEW CSE SIGN FOR CHAMPION TO FIT ABOVE THE BIKE WALL'.

That space in itself should be changed to be a regular base deck but good luck getting PMLS to do that one haha, can't even get them to easily swap gondolas in seasonal.
