Has anyone gone through the Cosmetics Transcend/ Destination Beauty re-set yet? If so, any tips or advice? My store starts next week with cosmetics.

Are they rolling this out company-wide?

EDIT: nevermind, the linked thread answers that question. Yes.

Yep, they are rolling it out company-wide. It's called Transcend Beauty. I've mentioned it in the Signing thread. The first group of stores is at the beginning of March, and everybody else is April. You will have to check workbench to find the spreadsheet to find out what your store's Target date is. This will be a two-week project.

We have had it for about 18 months now. I helped with the transition, so feel free to ask/pm any questions.

it looks really amazing. it's a ton easier to zone. the signing looks super sharp and cool. it's just a whole difference experience

Our set date for Transcend is April 20th... the week of Easter. Are you effing kidding me? And by then, my team will be responsible for all SalesPlans as well. Any week after a seasonal Holiday means massive endcap changes... My STL says they are trying to move the set week... I hope something changes...

Supposedly it's much easier to set and maintain. It looks much better than the old style. Then again, most sets look great when they're new. It is much brighter and more inviting.

Yep. The dividers on each shelf are permanent, so you don't have to worry about moving them around with each set. The most that would happen is swapping the location of a couple shelves to match the new layout. Ours still looks great 18 months later. I'm still not used to the brightness in the aisles(they're brighter than the store's lighting), but the signing is easier to maintain, and the POGs stay in place better. The only disappointing thing is that certain brands chose not to take part and it makes them stand out in a bad way. They look dim and gloomy(especially E.L.F because of all the black packages) next to the transcend sections.

Thank you so much! Oh, it affects hair too? Nice!

TBH all I care about is permanent dividers because ours move around too much, and the fact that the shelves go all the way to the back so things can't fall behind the shelves.

Other than E.L.F., what other brands don't participate? I saw in the pictures that the "Yes to" brands looked really dark.

They just started tonight at my store. I was there in the evening to demerchandise a few aisles, as well get rid of all of the old fixtures. The contractor that was putting together the fixtures for the beacon had never build one before, so were studying the instructions that were in the box. I am sure our signing specialist could figure it out better than them, but of course it is not her job. Can't wait to see how the aisles that got set tonight look when I show up tomorrow afternoon.

They're having a contractor install it? That's surprising because we had to do the install ourselves. It wasn't difficult, and the only problem we ran into was power supplies. Maybe that was enough for Spot to want to pay someone else to do it, though I figured that they'd rather pay a TM less.

Are the new fixtures completely used on the floor? For example; if I'm cleaning out the old fixtures right now, how much real estate do I have to reserve for the new set?

Yes. Everything from the old sets goes away and they send exactly what is needed for the new set.

My store is in the process of going through this now. They started last night.
But. I don't think anything is happening to the lotion.

Started ours last night. There is no way this project could be completed during store hours. I was missing a few shelves for the first planogram we set. Has anyone experienced that yet? There is also a 3ft section that I did not receive any of the transend fixtures for. No crossbars, no lit sign box, nothing. mySupport is going to be busy.

My store started this week, and the pog team has already screwed it up by tearing out everything but not breaking any of the old POG ties. It looks good what has been set so far..
