Yep, this is why I always say I liked working at Target.
Not for Target, mind you, but with the fine people who I punched the clock with every day.
They, the folks on this board, the good people that helped that young man, are the real soul of the company.
The people at the top have missed that and are smaller because of it.

I think a tie might have been a little to much for an interview at chick fil a.

I think it was very cute. It was his first interview, and whether it was to much or not, he wanted to look good. Hopefully his work ethics will be the same no matter wherever his journey takes him.

I would have people show up for O/N flow positions in suits for interviews. You better believe if they care enough to get in a suit and tie at 9pm they would care enough about the job!! There's no such thing as being overdressed for an interview!

I wore jeans sneakers and a polo shirt and got the job.

I saw people with suits or dress pants and dress shirt tucked in and I've never seen them again.

But I do think it was cool of him to wear a tie.

I'd rather see someone "dressed for success" than some of the outfits that came thru our last hiring drive.
The girls looked dressed for clubbing & the guys looked like they dug thru a pile of dirty laundry to get dressed.

That tie will get him noticed. It may also give him some confidence. IMO that is what VIBE is all about, not harassing people about Redcards or attachments.
