I'm just curious to know how many people on here do. How long did it take you to receive it. And what your position currently is.

I got supervisor access when I became a GSA

Yes. Hardlines TL, electronics and toys. They gave it to me 1st day of tl training at my store.

I cover the lanes on lunches at times though.

Yeah, I do. I got it roughly two years after starting at Target when I got "promoted" to GSA. It makes a few things easier, but doesn't really change much.

I got it earlier this year (~1.5 years into Deli) so that I could help my TL and ETL by requisitioning ingredients from the floor for production. Nearly every Deli TM has the same permissions now for that reason and because of that particular ETL.

I had it as a GSA, but when I moved to Backroom/SFS I lost my supervisor access, MyTime, and email. :(

Got it first day training as a GSA, about 2 1/2 years into my time at Target. After way too much cashiering...currently GSTL. With all the sketchy shit I have to do to keep guests happy, I couldn't go a day without that access.

How might one know this? What does it enable you to do?

You can requisition, override coupons, etc, ring alcohol for minors. My Starbucks ASTs are so they can requisition supplies.

I used to have supervisor access when I was a Cash Office Specialist. They took away my access after they took away all specialist titles. I would occasionally plead my case for them to give it back, since I was always watching/running the lanes. They never did, even though another former specialist kept hers. Eventually, when it looked like they didn't even want to give me a GSA title (despite how frequently I covered the front); I asked to be moved away from the front end and be trained in other areas. I learned price change and ad prep, now I am a full time Pharmacy tech and no longer give a rats ass about supervisor numbers! Thank god!

Funny thing is, many TLs & ETLs tried to give me supervisor access after the conversion. It seems that I was hard-locked from having supervisor access at the registers. I never abused the privilege & was never coached for anything about supervisor numbers. It was embarrassing to be running the front lanes & have to ask someone to run up and key in their numbers. Soooo glad I am done with Target bullshit now.

If I understand correctly supervisor access can only be granted to certain job codes. Your position must not have allowed it, especially since they wouldn't key you in as a GSA.

Yay CVS bullshit?

You can give supervisor access to TMs regardless of position. I gave supervisor access to my Starbucks TM to requisition items when I'm not there.

Nah it is job code specific. It's just that Starbucks TMs are one of the few types of TMs that can receive Supervisor #s. Specialty departments TMs can get it, but entry (N03) and some N05 can't. Cashiers can't, guest service, salesfloor tm, softlines tm, etc.

Regular electronics TM here. Got it a few years ago out of the blue. I never use any of the functions, but It's there.
