Along with modernization we have a new Grocery TL who came from a low volume store and has NO CLUE as to how long things take.

For example: yesterday's PFresh autofills were around 210 and I was given 1.5 hours to pull, push and back stock all of that. Crunching numbers - if I pull 4 items a minute, that leaves me with 37 minutes to push 210 eaches and then back stock the leftovers??? WTF?

Also breaking down 1.5 pallets on dairy only days alone is pretty much SOP. And then leaving only 2 people to push 300 piece Pfresh?

Sounds like my store as well except we're a Super Target. We can't do Autofills and have it all done within a certain time if we don't have the people. It's made coming to work stressful a lot of the time. We need to figure it out before Q4.

210 DPCIs or 210 items?

I haven't seen my store do this lately, but each Wednesday, every available TM from all departments who could be spared for half hour to 45 minutes, was called to help Market push out pallets. You can imagine with an average of 10 or more extra TM all pitching in, it had to have been a great help to the Market TL and TM.

We used to do working huddles (always in market or seasonal) at my store, but we haven't had one in months bc modernization. I don't miss them, though.

We do 30 to 45 min working huddles, usually in market, several times a week. They suck. My team loses valuable hours not doing our work and then later in the week told we need to get more done. Ummm, remember those huddles? That's where our work went.

Yep, why now I straight up ignore those huddles. Cause picking half a SFS batch, leaving it on pause somewhere on the salesfloor for me to hunt down later is not returning the favor.

Our cool huddles turned into working huddles and now we don't have them at all, for the most part.

I used to be the only employee in grocery. I would have to do 6 or 7 things at one time, including helping guests. Most target stores are understaffed because of budget cuts in which raise paychecks for the leaders to buy drugs and porn. It’s a shame

If this is 210 items (not DPCIs) then I don’t think that’s unreasonable at all... many casepacks might have 8-12 in them, and a casepack should take a minute at the absolute maximum to pull... but just a thought.
