1. The TSC is what they call the area where HR does their work. TSC is short for TMSC, which stands for Team Member Service Center.

2. QMOS stands for Quantity Mark Out of Stock. Used for perishable items instead of defecting them out.

3. SFT stands for Store Facilities Technician. The SFT is basically the head of building maintenance. He/she is the go-to person when something needs repair, and I believe they're also in charge of the cleaning crew.

Didn't you read/sign your learning plan with a trainer?
 
Believe it or not, when I was signed on to Target, I never really got the full "training" other than cashier. I've found myself self-learning most of these things, or having other TM's showing me the ropes. Then again that was like a year or so ago when I got hired on.

Definition: Clothing that is mass produced in standardized sizes and sold at retail stores in a finished condition is called "ready-to-wear" clothing. These clothes are intended to be worn without needing any significant alterations by the end-user. Ready-to-wear clothing is in contrast to clothing that is made-to-order, custom designed, individually fitted or one-of-a-kind, which is sometimes referred to as haute couture.
This is an old term from years ago. Stores used to sell clothing that you would pick out, then a tailor or seamstress would adjust the clothing to fit your particular body. Target has nothing like this so actually every piece of clothing in the store is "ready to wear", even the kids and mens department. Its just that years ago they called womens clothing on a rack "ready to wear" and the name stuck.

Curious to know how to read reports. I'm new in hr and i have never looked up our stores/or my workcenter's performance because it hasn't been explained yet. How do you read the scores? I've heard of 4s, 1.5, and all types of numbers.. What does it all mean? Or at least what do the ones that matter most mean?

How do u PM on the mobile version of TBR? And viewing the desktop version is not on option for me unfortunately bc it said Page Not Found 404 or something life that..
 
What does it mean when items are the following, how do you know what they are via the PDA/LPDA, and what do you do with them? :

NOP, Active NCF, Dcode, NCF, etc.

Also, what are the general rules re: flexing items that are dcode? When do you backstock? When a POG header doesn't have an end date, how do you know if you can set a new POG on it?
 
Both Item Search and the NOP app in RF Apps tell you the status of an item (active, discontinued, clearance), though Item Search may be more helpful. If an item is active and NOP, it should be backstocked if it's not a vendor item. What you're supposed to do with dcode NOP items depends on your leadership, i.e. whether it gets backstocked or flexed. If a dcode item is still located, then obviously put it in that location until you run out. Once a located dcode or clearance item is out of stock, you can use its location to flex other dcode/clearance items.

NCF, I'll let someone else take that one. I've asked my TLs about NCF and I've never really been given a helpful answer.

Now if you run into an item that's NOF (not NOP but NOF), give it to Price Accuracy or Guest Service (who will give it to Price Accuracy if they can't do anything with it).
 
I'm sure someone's already mentioned this somewhere, but DTK is being phased out in favor of the new myperformance. Now shows metrics as graphs, alongside the numerical scores.

Non-Carry Forward is simply an item that is going to be Dcoded.... The reason its NCF (how it was explained to me) and not just going Dcoded at that moment is because the DC still has some of that item, so its possible you will still get another shipment or two (after which it would be reclassified as Dcode once the DC ran out).... I think...

I think BP is that Dcoded and NOP should remain backstocked... The only exception to the rule would be if your area has a permanent Dcoded/NOP endcap they are using to flex the item out on or maybe a fake sidecap you setup to get it out of the backroom, in which case you would need to let PA know or store tie all the items so that they can find them when they take their markdown.

if the stl or my etl tells me do it, i do it. but, i do communicate w/pa folks.
 
Don't know about other stores, but in my store if something is nop it's usually because the item isn't tied. Many mysterious reasons for that.

If my store doesn't carry it wouldn't that be NOF? I'm always finding stuff that's NOP because planos/revisions weren't tied. Everyone should go into RF apps and look at the item in the NOP screen. Why it is nop is usually there and sometimes fixable.
 
What exactly is a Key Team Member? It seems to be the replacement for Specialists. I remember they introduced them into Cosmetics and some other general areas either around the time or after they had discontinued the Specialist position. Is it a promotion of sorts or is is just another position in the store?

If you find an item that's NOF, give it to Guest Service. If the item is not carried in your store (only in other stores or on tgt.com), it will get an As Is or Online Item ticket and take up residence on a clearance endcap. If the item is NOF because the UPC is broken or whatever (meaning the DPCI is valid but not the UPC), then Price Accuracy gets to take care of it. Also, there's always a chance the item might just be missed salvage.
