What's a 4X4? my ETL is gonna be training me on that next week

A super zone of a section, almost like a full team blitz.
Not exactly.

A 4x4 is basically an audit of an aisle. You make sure it is zoned, that all items are in stock, if not that they have rain checks, maintain and make new labels, make sure they are all signed, make sure all signing\displays/headers are correct. The goal is to keep it all up to date and it's been really helpful at my store. The Instocks team starts after shooting.

Holy frick... If there's anything my store ever actually does correctly without cheating I think I will die.

Hahahaha if you go onto work bench it will actually tell you all that.

There are 3 hardcore, myself and the TL with a couple of PT's.
The only problem is they like to pull the hardcores and replace them with poor performers supposedly as cross training.
We routinely get about half the hours we need to do the work. Plano is pretty much the red headed step child.
Plano is nearly non existant at my spot. Complete fail on the electronics reset. The whole team had to pick up tge slack on a friday. It was a total disaster. Tgenvagain i am at a golden contribution store.

I tried to tell my ETL we didn't have enough hours for our Market set. We're only a GM store, so it wasn't nearly as bad as most of you, but still was not enough (total of about 140 hours). He just told me it had to get done. Luckily I was able to sneak in a couple of extra stockers, since the batches were taking me literally hours to pull.

Sadly, I envy those of you who are behind and seem to still have your heads. "Getting behind is not an option" at my store. Luckily the salesfloor team is in charge of the 4x4 process.

my stl doesnt care that we are behind.. we just fake tie everything we didnt finish and work on it the following week. and do that until we are majroly behind and then its an emergency and everyone has to help. its a vicious cycle.

Oh I know about that! We used to do that but now we only fake tie if we can't set something because of clearance.

I have about 100 hours of work carried forward from the past two weeks.

they wan the report to look go so we fake tie... then monday and tuesday i normally get the previous weeks work done and start the new week.. however with all the market we have left and all the moves that are happening.. we wont be getting done by tuesday lol

The heck happened to plano! I went to the store I used to work at (was a plano TM) and talked to a cashier and he said they had two people on plano! When I was on it I think we had like 6! (ULV)

It's been 5 years since I was on plano, but still thats crazy, we used to struggle as it was back then but could at least get a week ahead now and then.

Our store used to struggle with Plano. New ETL moved into log in April. Used to be in different dept. In May of this year, DTL told us to spend the payroll and get caught up. We went all hands on deck and got caught up in two weeks. We have stayed caught up by careful planning, insisting on help from LODS with demerching and with setting sales planners. They never want to so ETL log assigns it it them specifically and follows up with them. Also, every Plano tm has to write start and end time on their pog paperwork. Immediately, time to set started to drop. We still are working to get all Salesplanners set to the correct end cap. Old log leadership just put them anywhere. We are doing back to school set on Monday. Starting at 2am. Never been done in one day at this store before. We are excited to see if it will actually happen the way it is supposed to.
We are double green in everything except price accuracy because pcvs keep getting missed by LODs. We are not faking our results. ETL log doesn't go for that.

@Caribe how is your Signing Ninja doing?
Are they getting the hours they need?
BTS is a bitch, are they going to get some backup for building bins and suchlike?

My store struggles with Plano, but thankfully we're caught up now going into BTS. My team doesn't have much of a sense of urgency and that's super frustrating. I'm hoping most of the BTS shippers are built by Monday.

The softlines shippers were so annoying! There's like 6 or 8 in Mens alone! Wtf?

my signing tm has been building signing bins and other stuff since last week she had 3 days then she was on vacation until tuesday. we are still behind on plano and i highly doubt we will get caught up since its just me by myself and i still have 30 rev's from last week to finish

There are four of us on my plano team, 5 if you count TL,and 6 counting the girl who does signing and occasionally helps us.

We are caught up and a little bit ahead but there have been weeks where its been tough and even some weeks we have tied stuff friday and worked on it on monday.

When I started on plano there were about 7 people on the team already, so they had me just work on the revs to get them done. Eight years later I am still responsible for getting revs done each week. If I finish early then I help sets pogs or salesplanners or whatever else needs to be done. If I have an overwhelming amount of revs then my team will help me out.

Cosmetics and electronic revs ( esp the tv wall) are my arch nemesis...I hate when I see I have revs in those areas. Recently it was both areas in one week and I was convinced someone had it in for me lol.

wow 6 must be nice! what size store are you or volume? i have 2 team member and myself. wish i had more lol

I am missing ALL of my men's shippers that go in RTW! MySupport, as usual, has been useless.

Our BTS is about 2/3rds set, which is great because it's actually due next week. I've poured hours into signing so he can get all those shippers prebuilt.

The men's merona topper was deleted, saw that in a message board yesterday. It still hadn't deleted out of TWT though.

The softlines shippers were a pain in the butt for my team this week. I did not get a chance to help because I was told to finish my revs for the week and start on next weeks revs. I did feel bad not helping even though I hate putting together those shippers.

I am ahead for next week which is good because I will be able to help with setting bts/btc next week.

I am responsible for tune in tuesday every week and I was so thankful it was fairly light this week. Since we started coming in at 6, its been tough some weeks to get it set, stocked, and signs up by 8. Especially when I have to put a billion blu rays in keepers, or when I have to hunt down the new releases in the stockroom.

Our Softlines shippers have now shipped twice without bases. They don't hold together too well without them lol. So we are still missing two shippers in men's. Glad to hear the Merona topper was deleted.

Lawn and garden clearance is still heavy, but I got one gondola built and set for BTS. I'm hoping to have the rest set by Wednesday. My signer only has a few boxes of bins left to build, plus the free standing bins, which I will help him get done. Would have got more done this week, but my whole team got cut from today due to payroll. And yesterday we were ALL doing Price Change.

Still not as bad as last year, so I'm hopeful.

Another vote for "softlines BTS shippers suck." They are a PITA to zone, and usually look awful after the first week or so.

The POG team on my store consists of:

1 TL (works on POG maybe 2x a week, though)
1 Signing specialist
1 revisions person
1 core team member
2 other tm who are trained, and work in other areas when POG is light on hours.

-
they also pull in 2-3 more people when it's time to do a major endcap set for the store.

lol thanks. we actually are caught up 100% and this is the first time since last year march that we have been 100% caught up. i got approval to add 40 hours the week before and 24 hours this past week.

Yay!!!
I have this week's work at 100% but I still have a basket of miscellaneous random stuff to look into and a bunch of signing and furniture displays to look into still.
Here we go into BTS! :-/

Well, on the bright side of things we are not only caught up, but actually ahead. But that's because we have just started our re-model and have a ton of people on the plano team. So many that at this point I have no idea of the number.

Take building the bins. Had a line of 6 or more people building them. BTS set last week. Shoes done on Thurs?Fri. with the new shoe fixtures.

But I have to admit, it's a nightmare. Way too many new people, with only a small core of us experienced plano people doing the training. And sometimes 5 or more tms sharing one PDA.

And we are only 2 weeks into a 4 month remodel.

Hope I survive it...
