Let's hear some of your craziest and weirdest moments!

I'll share some stories later on. Also, credit to one of @TallAPGuy 's posts for inspiring me to make this thread.

-homeless guy opens some beer/wine and gets drunk while sitting on some lawn chairs in seasonal
-young homeless couple got banned from the store for digging through the trash to eat some of the pizzas from Food Ave that we throw out
-TPS did CPR on a guy who collapsed outside, saved his life
-woman had us call a code yellow, then proceeded to steal a ton of shit while we were all looking for her kid; kid was in the car outside
-I'm checking out after my shift, get in line behind a short change artist, which I shut down real fast. AP from a nearby Kroger comes up behind me and asks what happened, then continues following the guy. I hope he got him
-a ~30 year old guy was showing child porn to kids

I can't wait to hear stories from people who are actually in AP!

Homeless dude walks in. Grabs two bottles of wine, pulls out a bag and conceals them. It was a low dollar amount and I wasn't gonna take the guy. I'm about to tell my TPS to PMR dude at the door. Then I see him grab a Pizza Hut pizza and a cookie from food avenue without losing a stride as he walks towards the door. Ended up apping him and found out he had several warrants.

Lol how many people does it take to process a person who stole a pair of sunglasses?
2 TPS
2 Mall security
1 Cop
1 ETL
Female subject requires a female team member, and she appears to be a minor, thus requiring the cops to respond in some states. No idea what the mall cops were needed for, though.

We call PD for all apprehensions to positively ID the subject and run for warrants. That particular mall may have a policy to respond to all shoplifting cases. I work support at a mall store in our district sometimes and we have to notify them.

Having a doctor we apprehended for stealing hundreds of dollars worth of stuff get so scared that he was going to lose his medical license for having a felony arrest that he actually pissed his pants in the office (this just happened to me last night).

Does PD have to respond to all shoplifting incidents, even if they have an ID? Here they only respond if the subject doesn't have an ID or if they have warrants, etc.

It's more of a standard procedure in our district to call them as opposed to a requirement. Most of the officers don't mind because they do catch the occasional subject on a warrant.

Really depends, we didn't call PD for low dollar amounts + ID. It's more of an effort to save time, sometimes we waited for PD upwards of three hours, so we'd avoid it if we could. Most times if they have an ID, PD would cite them over the phone.

Woman ODing on heroin in the middle of the front checkout lanes then a guy trying to kidnap her while she was unconscious. Guy trying to kidnap a child. Guy pulling up in front of a female team member and standing up in his car and jacking off. Homeless people getting naked in the bathroom and washing their underwear. Kids having sex on the floor in the bathroom. Guy shitting in the stairwell. People huffing stolen canned air and pulling the fire alarm and passing out outside the store. Team member threatening to shoot up the store and murder everyone. One of my former coworkers tackling a knife wielding crackhead and getting stabbed. Same former coworker almost getting shot during a Dyson booster apprehension. Getting spit on and punched in the stomach by a meth head during an apprehension over a pair of sunglasses. Violent purse snatching robbery in the middle of the store. Being threatened, taunted, harassed, provoked, screamed and cursed at.

My AP dude had to deal with this woman who got caught with thousands of dollars worth of shit and she legit broke down sobbing and yelling "I DIDN'T MEAN TO STEAL ANYTHIIIING". Yes you did?!
There was also a story about a guy trying to cut through spider wrap but accidentally sliced his fucking arm open and all AP had to do was follow his trail of blood around the store. He bled all over quite a bit of merchandise too so that was a lot of defectives
