I never would approve the 5% if they weren't approved. Corporate threatened our jobs over it once, so if a cashier wanted to push that through, they had to talk an LOD into it on my shift.

The machine will not let you put in the same TM number for a discount that is used to log into the machine to ring.

Everyone at my store left at close (or a few minutes after) except for the closing GSA and LOD. I cannot fathom all of these stores wasting payroll when the store doesn't have any guests. It seems to me they would be better off scheduling people to come in earlier...then they can zone and help...

It totally depends on your store. At my store it would be strays and helping guests until it was time to start evening zone, which was toys.

Yep...and we were still held to the same standards as a front end even though they weren't held to our standards as individuals. Never figured out how that was fair.

My ETL started seriously talking about it about 5 months in, though had been talking about it on and off for a few months before that. It was 7 months in before a spot opened up.

In 21 states it is legal for employers to require their employees to be tobacco free. And that's a legal substance with a huge political lobby. So there is no hope/protection for marijuana users.
