I really wish they would have taken the time to specifically call out "no food items" in the owned brand part. There's a surprising number of Brendas and Susans bringing back all the expired food sitting around their house that they still have receipts for, for whatever reason.

Car seat trade in event is making a come back. Probably mid-late September.

No, it’s not a secret. Just something to be prepared for, since we’re not getting additional payroll to support it (or at least we didn’t last time)

The “target tech items can only be returned at target tech” thing is gonna be a shit show at my store because target tech isn’t there the whole time the store is open and they always send all their returns to GS because they don’t know how to do it

How new is this? So, if the receipt is expired the guest will attempt the return with their ID. If their ID is maxed out and the return is denied then the GSTL will most likely override to make it right for the guest. So, the point of this whole stated policy is what? Even if we enforce these certain guests will pitch a fit and get their way. How is it making it "right for the guest" when we have these policies in place just to override them if the guest gets upset?

TLDR changes: All mobile phones must be returned in 14 days. All Apple products (except iPhones) must be returned in 15 days. Specialty gift cards cannot be returned.

Broke: waiting for a TL to override a return
Woke: getting the override code from a SCO that the GSTL opened in the morning and then using it because no one would respond to the walkie or phone
Our GSTLs write the override code at GS and tape it to each GS register. :p

if I use the override code it's on my number so if AP wanted to catch me they could, but I've never used it without asking GSTL.
I use it rarely, without GSA/GSTL permission since that defeats the purpose of why they wrote it out, but only for situations where the POS is being a POS and I can tell it's a legit return or something.
Clear scammers... nope, I don't even call the GSA/GSTLA over. "Sorry, I am not able to accept this return. It'll be easier with the receipt or I can look it up with the card you used."

High volume stores that don’t use carts for reshop - what is your system at guest service? Do you have tubs/bins? Do you use smartcarts? Do you just let stuff pile on the counter until someone comes to grab it? We need ideas
Shit gets put on the ledge behind us (the top of the wall that hides the carts behind the desk) and when it gets too much, we push it to two or three registers that get no usage ever right outside GS (it looks tacky as fuck but hey, I'm just a TM). The GSA/GSTL is tasked with calling out to the sales floor teams to come get their reshop shit. Of course, unless their TLs get on the radio to reinforce what the GSA/GSTL asked for, the shit will sit there eternally until the TL has to walk up there for something like going to the clerical office and gets harassed about his/her team still having shit up there from 3 hours ago and they act concerned afterwards.

We don't have any actual carts behind the desk. Just bins for toss, ESIM, CRC, and Salvage (A, B, C, and D bins).
