We were just informed today the week of the 15 presentation and pricing will no longer be at my store. Instead there will be a designated team member for each area who will be in charge making sure every sales planner is done and clearance is marked.

Is any other store doing this?

I expect it will happen to all of us eventually. Does anyone know how many areas/teams a store will have? I know there is grocery, softlines and electronics so far but what other areas of the store will be broken out?

We also have a team for home with the end to end process.

We were also informed as time passed the team would be doing everything such as sales planners and price changes as well.

Yeah this has been foreshadowed in the end to end thread. My store is using our Plano team heavily for remodel but the long term plan is for Plano to join other teams since those duties aren't going away.

I can see pricing being intertwined into other team members roles pretty easily. Presentation team on the other hand....it won't ever go away entirely or if it does they will quickly realize it won't work and go back to it. Spls are easy and someone could do a few a day and still maintain their department. But what about when an entire area resets? Or the aisles all flip? If you only have a few team members owning an area in end to end (7 days a week) then when their area resets they will need support help from other teams. It's just not possible to push truck, pull batches, backstock, keep your area zoned, assist guests, do pricing and then add on 100 hrs of work if your area resets. Maybe I'm wrong but it just doesn't seem possible.

WTF is going with all these changes?!?!

It sounds like corporate is putting an emphasis on global team members rather than specialist.

Yes they want people to specialize in an area *(grocery, style, etc) but within that department they want them to be able to backstock, pull, shoot outs, price changes etc.

I expect to hear this news tomorrow, but I have expected it. I will stand alone with the Receiver in my store as being the last "Logistics" jobs still standing.

What will be interesting is when we all inevitably all go to 6 am how they expect us to still do our jobs, if they still decide to keep using more and more crazy overheads.

We will start soon, and receiver and signing will remain the same.

Good.

I still worry.

I'm signing TM and I'm already essentially shoved off Plano. I still report to my TL but I pick up hours literally anywhere else. So I guess not much will change for me.

See I worry because they give me 32ish hours a week to do shit everywhere. I guess my job will transform into the Special Projects Guy(TM)

So y'all what happens to to the PPTL?

So...who's setting seasonal?

Back to school?
Halloween?
Christmas?

I'm assuming tm's from all across the store are going to have to work together to set it?

I went to Softlines. I had 2 full time pog tms and one went to 1 dept and 1 went to another dept. We do have multiple tms cross trained for pog that I used when needed and we are continuing to train tms as we go. The current plan for heavy set weeks is to schedule as many people as we can on non truck days to come in and just get it all done. We would use people from all departments at that point to get through the workload. This would be the only way we could get through a major set. My DTL explained it as like setting an area when you are opening a store. Bring in as many people as you can and get it done as fast as possible. My 2 pog tms will still work in their specific depts on truck days and then be scheduled with everyone else on non truck days to help with whatever is setting. Not sure how long we are testing this. Leadership seems to think if we get this right then there's no going back.

So y'all what happens to to the PPTL?[

I'd like to know what happens to PPTL as well. I figured until all areas were up that position wouldn't go away

Was answered in the end to end thread. They just take over one of the sales floor teams.

I will be funny to see this for a Christmas Set, especially if they aren't allowing overnight or 4am. If the Overheads are like they were last year I am going to refuse to do them out of Safety concerns for our guests.. And I'll make sure to use their own words when I say "Guest First".

We just go into a department. I went to style/softlines. The Flow tl went into a dept too.
