MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

Has anyone received dump bins for d code movies lately? Not BF ones but new ones? Ours seem to be missing and we don't know how they were supposed to come prebuilt or not
 
Our Barbie shipper is almost gone already thanks to SFS. But only that one, all the others are still intact.
 
So if I am reading the new fixture room refresh right, there is 8 ft for ISM +bulk space right? 4 for signholders etc and 4 for ISM. I am so glad they ditched the idea of putting signs on the UBoats and metros apparently.

Damn. We need more too but I haven't seen the closing TL to know if she was able to order them or not this week.

Perhaps they've taken them off because they are hoarding them to send out to stores for the fixture room refresh? Seems to be their typical pattern when things go missing from GoCart.

I got some in like a month ago I can look this week to see if I can find the package.

Possibility. It would have been nice for them to tell us that. It did say to expect all new signs. Please let them be a tablet. I am tired of getting a few "under" and "starting at" signs with every spl transition.

Right! I have a shelf for each of those and I'm not sure if I should just toss them all and use it for something else or not. It would be nice to go back to a tablet for headers, one with the option for PP or MPP all in one.

That would be nice! It would look like the store had moved at least into the 20th century for displays. I think we will see digital label strips and vr shopping before that though... But even if we had digital ec signing it would work one week and not the next for whatever reason.

We have VR shopping for Christmas trees and furniture!
 
I know I am super late to this, but I wad a former "Signing Specialist" who left the position a few months before it was removed. I loved signing and saw such an importance in it. It kills me to watch everything I built fall and for my store to never have fixtures or label paper which I always kept an eye on. This year no xmas overheads were put up. Everything got tossed. I don't get how they can't have a DBO own fixtures and signing. No one speaks up about anything. I just saw the compactor have the power aisle overhead signing and other stuff that it hurt to see what I took so much pride in, just go into the trash. Just walking the store I see so many Spls not having signing or backer paper. I see displays with no signs or prices(Tv's, furniture, small apps, etc), aisles missing zone assist and fixtures being used wrong. Even me bringing it up to leaders, no one cares. It's all about push. Nothing else. I just hate seeing my old position and job become non existent and fall apart. The company talks all about DBOs and I was the DBO for signing and fixtures. This position needs to come back.

They are basically turning the VM position into signing as well now. They are becoming responsible for more of the non-pog ISM. My VM relies on me for a lot of assistance, but he's going to need to figure this out for himself as I am very busy with presentation stuff now.
