At my store, from Thanksgiving until Christmas, the Presentation Team turns into the "Toy Team." We do the pulls, work pulls and freight, and take care of flexing every night. Do any other stores do that?

We do that at my store as well. They also answer all phone calls and call buttons for toys. I've always wondered however, if plano becomes the toy team during the holidays, then who is out there being the plano team? :p Aren't there still pogs to set?

Nope not during the crazy day.
Usually the signing ninja and the PTL have some work to do but that's about it.
There's going to be electronics, endcaps, but no much.

At my store, all the plano TMs get scheduled in the backroom (we hire a lot more seasonals for flow than backroom) and our PTL helps with softlines flow.

Revisions, but very few pogs. PTL usually can do those on their own. I ask to be day time toys or rear seasonal.

My store's signing person is no ninja. :(

My store does toy team for q4 also. I could have used a toy team for this last toy reset since they kept it PTM for nearly 6 weeks!!

all these toy team posts crack me up. we're the toy/electronics team too.

hq sent communication last year specifically stating pog was not to be the toys team. oops. guess that's one directive the stores chose to ignore lol

lol toy team sort of here too. I (the pog tl) double as the second flow tl and the toy pusher. I bowl toys push all of toys then if they need me on flow i go join the wave if they dont need me i set ends and flex. sometimes i get help from the flow team sometimes i push it all myself depends on how heavy it is. the rest of my team, one goes to the BR and the other goes to flow which she normally pushed electronics and entertainment and on Monday nights she set pulls and pushes new releases . my signing ninja does whatever revs there are during the day and she does in-stocks and whatever else they throw at her. I generally become a key carrier during the 4th quarter also.

we are a 4am process but normally we work from 4-7 plano then 7-9-9:30 flow, go to lunch then go back to plano. needless to say we are super behind. I just finished last weeks work today. I came in at 3:30 am on sat (when i was supposed to be salefloor) and monday because we were having a huge group visit i came in at 2 am with the flow team to try and get more set. stiull pushed truck from 7-9 though and went home at 10:30 lol

at my store the non-flow team pushers at 7am push domestics and home decor, one-spot, sometimes babies, sometimes toys and sometimes BTS.

I'm the signing specialist at my store but I work closely with plano of course. A lot of times they pull me to complete the plano workload because for some reason we arent ever able to finish our sets as planned. Does anyone else struggle with this? Like having a "3 hour set" take 8 hours?

Last week we had a revision in Beauty to add the "Toni and Guy" brand. It took us like 10 hours to set it! Given, we didn't receive our label strips but still. Is this normal or unheard of?

has anybody seen the hours allowed for the halloween set, like 60 for the whole thing. that dont seem right to me. does that just mean time for setting and not filling?

Doesn't seem right to me either, 135 hours to set Halloween and mini in the same week! I would like to meet the guy that decided that and see him do it! lol

We set mini next week, but Halloween doesn't set until the 15th. We were going to try and get in early, but we still have WAY too much BTS.

Started a couple Halloween tables (we have 5-8') One of the tables alloted 2.5 hours to build. Yeah, their pretty complicated....

luckily our bts area is really light we were super freaky lol.. they gave me 120 hours to set Halloween and mini and whatever else. as of right now i have 25% of next weeks work done and I am going to attempt to get to 50% today so Monday and Tuesday we can hopefully finish up and ten start Halloween. its my favorite set

we have mini finished, im just worried about the lack of hours for Halloween. maybe not the setting or gondola moving, just the demerching of BTS...sooo much stuff!

Set Halloween mini seasonal on Tuesday. I didn't get any mini seasonal overheads though. ??? Did anyone else get these? Also, one of our aisles in mini called out for headers, but none of the rest did. I do have extras. Was there an update I missed?

Ours was missing too.

I don't think there is any overheads or CSE for mini this time around. no CSE in rear either. rear overheads are large, but not bad. front of store will be an exact repeat (mine hasn't arrived yet). headers in mini - i ended up with one extra (skeleton drinking a sprite) there were i think four or five total used and one or two supers as well. finished all my tables this morning. least complicated table set yet, save for the chris march wig table. not crazy but more steps than it probably needed to be. Phillip Lim was nice and easy, they could have done the overhead better though. bits and pieces of rear left to set...probably put all the endcap stuff up monday morning. funny story - one ETL (who has nothing to do with my workcenter) actually noticed that I was working three days ahead of the team - fancy that! i don't think i've had an ETL be that observant for about 3 years!
