Archived Wal Mart's Hours

A reliable source has told me that many markets for Wal Mart are dropping the 24-hour business model. Like us, they have issues with staffing. New hours will be from 6am to midnight. Their replenishment process will remain the same. This will be a definite win for their loss prevention team.

But now where will I go to buy a plunger, pasta sauce, and a Christmas tree at 2am?

All of ours are 24 hrs but when I go back to visit in New Orleans they're only open until midnight. It's been that way since Hurricane Katrina. All I can say is if you decide to go to our Wal-Mart after midnight it's like they say...the freaks come out at night.

Two of the walmarts in my area have went to midnight closes recently. It wasn't as much bad sales but the theft in the area.

Yeah; it's mainly because of theft. Less traffic = less eyes on the store (flow's probably too busy to bother with customers) = more theft.
