Our hrvp is requiring all etl hrs to do their own orientations q4. It was funny watching my etl HR sit in on mine taking notes trying to figure out how to do it.

lol Same. My new ETL-HR was like, they changed it so I have to do orientations now. I had to pretend that I was surprised and refrain from telling her that ETL-HRs were supposed to run it way before this quarter (according to the guide from corporate) but most didn't want to do it so they just delegated it to HRTMs.

I think that's exactly why we have job security most etl hrs don't know how View attachment 4052 to do anything clerical.

Right! Besides knowing things, we are also super affordable labor that brings results. ETLs are expensive. Of course, their salaried position is going to get cut and replaced with a SrTL.

What about those of us in "specialty" roles? I am softlines and am at less than $11. I sure as hell hope I'm going to be told I'm going up to $11.50.

Whether or not you will be informed is up to your store's ETL-HR. It is their responsibility/choice to notify you.

I am merely providing some context as to why an ETL-HR would choose not to talk about it. Not every TM is excited about these types of raises because it negates their other raises gained through positive annual reviews. Here is an example of what they say: "Why the [expletive] does this new person get to earn as much as me when I had to work hard to get to that amount through my yearly raises. I have been here for so long. I deserve more [expletive] pay than this person who just started!"

It's truly great that you would be happy to know you got a raise but not everyone reacts that way. The ETL is probably thinking that you'll get that raise regardless of whether or not they let you know so why risk angering other people.

Again, I am not agreeing with their choice to keep silent but sharing what I learned from their experiences to provide context.

I wish this was the case for me. I'm still doing all the orientations by myself. While I was going over the new guides and showed my ETL-HR that I wasn't supposed to do them, their response was "I want you to do them, I'm giving you permission."

Gee, thanks.

Im pretty sure this is our stance. Etl-hr is "to busy supporting the remodel" most likely. Insert eyeroll here...

My STL says everyone in my store who is lower is being elevated to $11. Specialists aren't getting the extra $0.50 so now I'm confused.

I wouldn't worry too much about your STL. These raises are done by corporate so your STL can't not give you it. Just wait for your next paycheck.

I was just told by my hr that all flex stores will be receiving $11.50. Is this because the flex is a smaller format that requires a person to be in more than one area throughout the week? And the differentials would be too confusing so they just settled at $11.50?

“Hey, you guys are getting $11.50...andddddd there goes your hours...

That could make sense. Some of those stores only have about 25 team members. If you have two total A&A team members and one of them quits and you aren't allowed to cover shifts with people who aren't in that paygrade... yeah you have to come up with something. And they might not even have a single beauty TM, which means a hardlines TM (paid $11.00) would be doing a small portion of what a beauty TM would be doing for $11.50.

There’s a lot more than 25 at my location ( about 65-70) but the way they have hours at a bare minimum it feels like we have 25 . We have dedicated beauty tm and a few select tm that do the security repacks for electronics. But everyone is pretty much “trained” to do different jobs. I work back room, pog, pretty much anything really.

But I can’t complain about 11.50 because everyone changes job rolls so much it would be hard for them to do payroll.

What is the max a tm can make under the new pay guidelines and differentials?

So I was filling various Flexibles today. After reffering to Softlines as "Softlines" they quickly corrected me in saying Style team. I quickly reply, no.. they are Softlines, and always will be . In a tone, that makes me believe they think it is bullshit too, they say "No, Whenever I refer to them as Softlines Team, I am quickly reminded that it is "Style Team". I repeat, what I said before, but in a more stern tone. (And having really no interaction with this TM, before, even though we both have been here for at least 2 years (5 for me).

This made me feel bad for the Guest Service TM, as I know they have worked here for years, but it is the first time I have heard of this happen, has anyone else experienced this?

Actually it's AA TM!

So my little group (4) plano, pricing, and signing! We're 3 for 1 and we're staying at $11 (=

Funny how some TMs at my store think that because they work globally, they should be getting different wages for different positions. Yeah no. Just because you worked an 8 hour electronics shift doesn't mean you get 8 hours of higher pay.

Was informed that I'm now at $11.50 an hour, which is the $11.00 starting wage + 50 cents logistics differential. So that means I'm making exactly the same as a brand new hire in logistics (or anything else with a 50 cent differential). Woo hoo, don't I feel special.
