MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

I need help. So a few months into being the signing specialist. Having a really hard time with time management. My TL wants me to be setting with the plano team and do signing. People are mad because i have so much signing when we are just setting Halloween this week. By sunday i have to be out of my signing area in receiving and into the fixture room because they are giving it to ship to store. Also just finished the displays for domestics reset with no help from anyone. Took me three days. In over my head and ready to quit. Any advice on how to know what really needs to stay or go with signing. Might only get two sections in the fixture room for everything. Thank you!
Part of your job is "helping maintain the fixture room", with the move into it I've declared it completely my room and my etl and stl are backing me or I'm walking. To decide where stuff goes, to pitch old stuff. People can deal. My room is unique to every other store in the damn world but I've managed to toss and consolidate enough to cut down a light duty section for pog signing. Gondola parts are later today with pmt help, but if they don't fit in not sure what my next step is.

Does anyone have a picture of the new ism for sporting goods that says something along the lines of " shop from our backroom"? I haven't gotten any ism for sporting goods but my store insist on tearing through my shit...

One is more signing than a display; has red pegboard that goes up in front of the other pegboard. Haven't done that one yet. We had to move our Switch display from one side of the gondola to the other ourselves. Which I thought was dumb since Nintendo came in to put the display in themselves last year and did not want us touching it. Took 3 of us to move the damn thing.

Yes, 8 ft width and I probably have 10 ft in height with some open space next to the steel for taller boxes and to store the seasonal tables. Used to have to whole section all the way to the top but I've weeded out a lot of stuff I didn't actually need to keep and as long as I keep up with my pallets, don't need to store a whole a lot for long.

I don't like other people touching my display pogs either. For some reason, displays confuse everyone even when I tell them to treat it like a product. Just can't wrap their heads around it. I really need to get into small apps too, the displays are eating up my steel space right now! But I am stuck running the sporting goods transition moves and attempting to finish fillback for domestics/decor from last week.

Kinda feel in the same boat as far as the positon. We too are rocking through all our work and there has been no concrete talks of changes. It's alluded to once in a while but here we still are, the darling of our district.

Update: I may be off today but PTL knows how concerned I was about this. It's a full on interactive display. And it's now up.

its on the transition manual. they gave a link on the instruction.
basically you put the 48inch metal on top of the game case laying flat. then insert the "peg hook"

You ask your TL what they want you to do. You do that and try to stop caring about the rest. If questioned you send asker of said questions to your TL. You don’t get paid enough for this dung.

This is what I try to tell myself every day.

Anyone have party numbers for pricing tabletop for carts and the metal price roll holder? Mine seem to have run away...

... also ideas on what to stock a pricing bucket with? Im having trouble finding an accordion folder to fit the new clearance signs since they are so tall. Trying to set up buckets so style can grab and go without tying up eight sets of stuff or fighting on how they want their stuff versus others.

I AM! NOT!!! I can't believe that on top of this modernization that is rolling out that they decide to allow the PTL to be responsible for building furniture! I am not opposed to this but once again I feel screwed over. PMT is the only one allowed to use power tools, so therefore the Plano TM building the furniture is building it with the tools provided (stupid alan wrench and itty bitty screwdiver) and WILL TAKE LONGER to build it because they don't normally build furniture. This makes absolutely no sense. Question for full MOD stores...Who is building your furniture pieces?

So I built some furniture's yesterday and if your still using non-powered tools. I feel really bad for you.

Do they not let you requisition tools from the floor? There's a Stanley ratcheting screw driver that might help if powered tools aren't allowed. I never heard of a policy or certification requirement where you can't use power tools. Reminds me of that stupid policy where we can't push more than 1 cart at a time for safety reasons.

Any one have kit part number for Bullseye Playground display? The one with the wagging tail etc. I need the kit version, buying individual pieces was a mistake.

So our Trim-A-Tree transition guide dropped, and looking at it, I think Signing TM's days, are certainly numbered, as it seems Amplified Gifting will be the new "Home Innovation" of Seasonal, with permanent fixtures, to replace the Horde of Lions, we had to train and release a year ago, and the small pack of lions, we deal with every transition back there.

I know it's late to st this year, not till nov 4th. Can't wait to peruse the guide.

There's no way that's the entire guide, that's way too short. They usually address every single little thing.

Am I just imagining it or have the new planograms moved a lot of pegged merch to non-peg slots? Kitchen has towels and cloth napkins with plastic hangers that are now supposed to lie flat on the shelf, but don't stack very well because they were meant to hang. It looks stupid as fuck.

So uh

This is a good start to the week :)

I think they're trying to make zoning easier.

Jealous! You actually have an awesome space! We're shoved into a 4' section of light duty. You have more space than I do! What do you guys do for for displays? I've been having trouble with it getting lost in the backroom. Tried to have a dedicated spot in the fixture room but it gets to be a lot when it's furniture and small appliances. I don't trust the backroom to backstock it but it's best practice. My only issue is when the display doesn't pull in the batch and I have to go pull it in a second round when we do audit.
