At my store leading up to BF, I build the BF dump bins and prep any other signing needed for that day (minus ad, not my problem). I also help prep endcaps and set up everything the night/before. The day (or night of, I guess) I run toys. Keep it filled/zoned, make flex endcaps where needed, and direct guests.
 
Well guys this is it. After 6 years at target, 3 1/2 as a signing specialist, I am finally gone from Target. It has been a hell of a journey and those 6 years were stressful, crazy, and some times maddening... But it was wonderful. Target supported me thoughout my time here and helped my family. Hell if it wasn't for Target I might of not been able to move across the country to be with my now wife so easily.

But most importantly you guys supported me with your answers and feedback. You are the best signing team members out there. No one knows what's we go though without actually living it. We are then Ninjas that put out signing that most people don't even notice or understand. I feel like we are super unappreciated but you guys made me and probably others appreciated. So, Thank you, everyone who answered my questions during my time here.

How do you guys keep your fixture rooms clean? I will clean it, and the STL, ETL Logistics or SrTL of Presentation will use it as an opportunity to place things in it. Then by doing that, they lead the whole team to also leave things in there. I know that room breaks fire marshall code and if it was seen we'd be shut down instantly before the LOD would even make it to the back to try to cover the wrong up >.>

What have you guys tried that actually works?? >.<

I'm a bitch. I've thrown stuff away, moved pallets out to the sales floor, etc. I just do it. I don't ask. I have to keep all my signing in the back of the fixture room. If I can't get back there, I fix it. After a while everyone knows I'll do what it takes to keep it clean.

I have done that, it normally comes back to me in the form of wheres this, wheres that, can you order this, can you order that... I don't know the part number.
I feel like I work with babies and I just feel like they shouldn't be getting paid more than me, if they can't simply keep things clean >.<
I think I will try that again and just shrug my shoulders when they panic about something they need. If they really need it, they'd make sure its put back rather than left in the fire hall or in Guest carts in the fixture room.

I literally had a headache the whole day and I believe it spawned from that room.
 
I've given up on the fixture room. Between Softlines fixtures, hardlines fucking with the fencing and shelves, and pog team literally touching everything, I'm done babysitting. All 3 of those leads make way more than I do. I told my etl he can keep th bs fixture room captain title because it honestly doesn't mean shit to me. He calls me the signing specialist but I always correct him to remind him we're just tms now. He told me he sees me as a specialist like electronics and beauty... Well guess what... They have a pay bump I don't. After asking for a raise twice and being denied, I've stopped caring. Ill no longer be dedicating time to help sfs or receiving. I won't be doing the morning audits either. Overdue splns? Nah. Not setting them anymore. Inbound called out? Won't see me on the line to help the truck. I do all this shit and the entire store just shits all over me.the final straw was being pulled about my performance because I didn't have ALL of Xmas and amp Gifting 100% by last Friday. I'm actively looking for a new job and will take the first offer I get.
 
Need some help guys. This may be a front end thread issue, but I wanted to try here first

I've been working on the ism pallets and came across these holiday gift card inserts and cards for a fixture for the checklanes. We don't have the fixtures. Any gift card fixtures honestly(I'm a small format) The picture shows a small base with clear dividers for each card and then the inserts go in the bac showing you what cards go where. I was wondering if anyone had the sap number for the fixture?

The other thing is a red candy/gum tower also for the checklanes. Im pretty sure its a recent rollout. There were no pictures for these things. They are little stands with slanted shelves that hook into the peg boards. Anyone using these? Or have a picture on how to best merchandise them?

I've ordered that giftcard fixture a couple months ago. If I have time, I'll check tomorrow.

We have a gum rack that goes on the pegboard at CL. Those have strips with specific locations.

There is a master list of all needed fixtures for Amplified Gifting. But they are customized to stores so you would need to know which letter your store is assigned; that can also be found on WorkBench. I can't remember the specific link, but search amplified gifting and there should be an Excel spreadsheet that will tell you which letter your store is, then search that letter on Workbench and a link for it should pop up which is a pdf of your fixture list. It'll show how many, part numbers, and who is responsible for building them.

Also, since you are small format, I assuming a vendor came in to audit these fixtures before the set. They should have ordered anything missing and let the LOD know.

Yeah! Today Someone said should I put this in your fixture room, and I was like, eh, thats not my fixture room, I have officially disowned it. And will not touch it unless directed by an executive. Not doing manager work anymore, that make empty promises and never follow up on all the random things they ask. It's dead end and I need to suck it up andaccept that. Following orders like a mindless minion for now on LOL xD

They called 5 stores. 4 were also out and were not able to put their overheads up. The one store has some but is still short of completing their overheads. I just laugh now how stupid they feel having to tell me other stores are in the same situation... No shit
 
Thanks guys! I'll order the amp fixture in the am. I doubt it will make it in time for the holiday but I'm excited for the extra fixturing!
