MEGATHREAD Signing Tips, Tricks and Quips (along with howls of despair)

I think its for the furniture focal that used to have the love seat? Or the teepee.

Alright kids...steritech came today and everyone shit themselves over my signing tub being in the fixture room because "no tubs or carts, just a ladder" but only 36 in of aisle required? Can I push back on this? Or do your signing tubs live elsewhere...?

I keep my signing tub in the fixture room, all STL has said about Steritech is that as long as the room is walkable with nothing on the floor or anything sticking out...

Weird, because our furniture focals (non-Home Innovation) are the love seat and teepee. They're also just plain white which is not what our store is supposed to have. idk.

We've always hoarded market specwific items above the ambient room potatoes. If they try to shove that crap in the fixture room it might just walk out the compactor door... it always has before.

It's up in the steel in the back of the fixture room so it's a little bit of a challenge to get to. And I'm not helping with it; if they want it, they can get it down.

Hope they come to my store and get these tl's to stop dropping carts of random stuff every day. It's not just fixtures, loads of product/clearance just ends up there because it's the only area with space after I clear it out

On the list of things that would not fly at my store...

We have containers out back and I need to get the FIVE fucking empty clothing racks out there. Fuckin' ridiculous.

These are rare these days, when I get them it makes me overly joyous.

On the opposite end I have asked my STL if he would bail be out of jail before for stealing Display's we couldn't get for some reason from Walmart.

Weird. I researched them on the 10th and they came in on the 18th. IDK.

My best guess is that they were already on the way when researched, I have seen this too.

I keep my tub outside the fixture room by my signing steel area, across from fixture room. I do usually keep a flat of shippers in the fixture room though. And right now, I have 2 tubs of softlines shelves I have nowhere to put in there as well as several various boxes of fixtures/shippers. Have never had Steritech mention anything about no vehicles in the fixture room.

I would totally argue the point about having 36 inch aisle with a tub in there though!

Anybody know what these are?

Size specs? New or old?

Cane in today to my tubs shoved somewhere it wad really hard to get them out of. Plus the closing lod apparently didn't respond to calls to open the fixture room. But we had a green steritech visit... you are welcome fuckers.

What's a size spec?

I don't know what those are, but they are in a shopping cart, which would make some regional office jerkoff really, really sad.

They just appeared last week and nobody knows what they are. PMT has no idea and I'm metal recycling them on Friday.

Size specifications? How big are they? I could see them being three wide video game pieces... anyone get the new switch lock box? Maybe something from there?

I don't think that's coming for awhile. From what I remember the redwire said late april/early may for that and it should just be a standard lock up case if the part number doesn't change from what's on the pog.

Made this thread in a different section not knowing there was a signing thread already. Just going to copy and paste what i said and maybe someone can help me out with this

Have the floorcare transition this week aka vacuums and last time it was done our signing specialist messed up the displays and didnt make sure they all had the proper fixture/display barcode on them. Now I have about 15 displays with no barcode what so ever that im trying to figure out if they stay or go. Question is this, is there a guide anywhere that has pictures and display #s as to whats staying and going for this transition? Early set notes and transition manual are no help and yes i have looked at the line listing but doesnt give a accurate description. Also looked to see if the product is still carry forward but im wanting to make sure the displays are carry forward also and not getting replaced with something else.

Hi someguy and welcome. The quickest easiest way to determine if displays are toss or stay is by doing the signing first. Clear the wall of all displays, adjust the "riser pedals" to the new pogs alignment, find the displays labels for it sent it with the label strips and put those out in order. Then match the signing to the display label (dcpi # in item description of display label- dcpi typed on every sign), then you have the perfect situation. All the signing has the image of the vacuums so just play the match game and your done. No need to scan a single display. just make sure to research the missing displays (scan display label) to ensure you'll eventually get all your displays.

Most of the time i don't even bother attaching barcodes to displays anymore. The dpci's tend to change through revisions and the next transition. The sheets of fixture labels they have started sending are somewhat helpful. Often times the dpci of the actual product is included on the label. Just look for the box stock and match it up to your display.

Those look like the insides of filing cabinets. The stainless steel track is on the bottom. Just a guess.

Eh, they're going on metal recycle Friday.

Thing is though, the displays do have the proper DPCI of the item in the name of the display, so it's easy to just move them around to the proper spot.

The fixture and display labels also tend to print out when you print the POG labels.

Spring cleaning for the housewares displays has gone so well. 6 old vacuums, 8 old blenders, 5 slow cookers, 3 lamps, and 2 coffee makers were all removed from the floor for being outdated.

Oh and remember to look on backroom quantity report every so often under Housewares, department 072, sort in descending class order for class 94 so you can see if any of your displays get located. I found about 10 lurking around. Most was old toss. But some was accurate :D
