Not sure if this is just my location, but we're expierencing major cuts in payroll. Dayside sales floor is pretty much non existent right now. One to two max, but lately it's just been one HLTM. Backroom is somehow hanging by a thread. Until next week that is, when only two dayside/mid will be covering backroom as apposed to our normal three man team. Mind you we are a high volume store.

Needless to say the passed three days moral has been pretty low. Everyone is talking about leaving. Most without even giving notice.

Pretty much. Our HRETL was doing chat sessions with us, she was not encouraged by what she was hearing. Being told that your hours won't get better than under 20hr a week. And your new 2nd job availability is denied isn't a way to keep employees. Sorry but I really don't give to craps about what spot wants anymore. I got bills to pay.

Thank you! My thoughts exactly. Everytime I try to change my availability to something more predictable so I can find work elsewhere, it's always denied. Even when I talk to my TL or ETL to approve it, they agree, but always conviently forget. Plus now I hear that HR will be the only ones to approve or deny it. Target is such a joke.

I am probably going to loose most of my rock stars which means that a large portion of the team will be gone!

Even scraping what they can from IS, PC, CA etc.. is not enough.. and with the forecast I was given for March.. most may just quit showing up!

Morale has plummeted to an all time low around here...

I'm currently using my vacation hours to supplement my paychecks, and once I use all of that time I'll be putting in my notice. It shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Only getting 14 hours as a BRTM is pitiful, and I see guys getting even less than that.

I just saw my hours for the new schedule and I got 10 hours total. They promised all these people including me atleast 30 hours a week.. I know now that was just to get us to accept the jobs. This is ridiculous. This week and the next 2 weeks I don't even get close to 30 hours total for all 3 weeks combined. I don't even want to go in today now. I've been off since last Friday since they axed 4 of my shifts.

It's so strange to see everyone talking about payroll cuts while the hours at my store just skyrocketed. Everyone on my backroom team literally had their hours doubled next week and my hours went even higher on the newest schedule.

Probably pouring hours to make sure it goes well, then chop!

Thankfully, being AP, I'm not suffering too much from the payroll cuts. But, I think I can pretty safely speak for the rest of my team when I say morale is at an all time low. Some of my friends from Hardlines are getting a whopping 4 hours per week. In the last 7 days alone, we've had 3 people quit on the spot. I feel bad for them, it's such a shame. Good workers being forced to go elsewhere due to severe cuts.

I go back today after a week being off.. Not by choice.. Kinda worried on coming back and seeing if a bunch of people quit

All is well at our store. Backroom morale isn't great but it usually isn't and it has nothing to do with hours.

Yeah, we aren't doing too badly. Everyone is a bit grumpier than usual because of payroll, but most people are getting enough hours to get by.

I used all my vacation hours on my last check, and on the one I got yesterday, I'm short for my bills by like $200, because I forgot to put in my sick request. But, once I use all my sick hours, I'll be in this place again, so my target-related morale is nonexistent right now.

We just had 3 people quit because of the low hours. All three were able to get a full time job somewhere else. I hope hours are increasing soon.

Our sales are up total, almost to the point of A, sales from M-M while they have their ups/downs, are still positive, iow, making sales +,but cut, Cut, CUT CUT!!

There were hours cut just to make bonus for DTL in Jan..

March is not looking to be any better, about the same right now, unless we get another call from the DTL to cut!

So there likely is to be no flow team here soon, or at least it will be my ETL, and the other ETL's and TL's to make up for it!

BR... is headed the same way with this CAF schedule BS... so I guess the freight will just fall out of the truck, to the floor and BR here soon...

My store had to cut 500 hrs this week. Payroll roll is at an all time low. At this point my store is just amputaing limbs to survive, despite us moving back up to AAA.

Sounds like somebody's leadership wasn't managing the payroll very well!

On a side note, the Target I shopped at this afternoon (cruising the clearance) looked like hell. Carts of reshop all over the store. SD looked like there was an explosion. I'm sure it will stay like that until they can tap their March hours. Way to tarnish the brand lookin' like a Walmart!

Sorry the Walt-Mart by my house looks better than the target(not my store) does. My store and this is not a brag is looks good until you dig into the zone.

Omg.. My Walmart is so much cleaner than our store. The setup is unintuitive, but it's clean. There's clothes all over the floor at my store all the time because there's typically one softlines TL or TM on the floor at a time. HL looks less bad when it's bad, but the guests are walking in big ass circles to find someone to help them.

I was cashiering last week and had a Walmart manager say something to me. She was like "wow, I've never seen this store look so crazy! There was stuff on the floors!" Lol... So yea.. We're not doing well.

Yeaa, I think all of our young tms are looking elsewhere. The older ones are just biding their time until they can retire. I put my resume up on indeed and I got a couple of emails about assistant management positions so I'm optimistic that I can get out of target in the next few months. I keep dreaming of the day I quit. I know it won't be as fun as it is in my imgination, though.

I read through the CAF rollout stuff today. Pad the schedule for two weeks then hand fix for another month til it can catch up and adjust itself. Or something like that. Bet lots of brtm are gonna get screwed when they realize they overscheduled....and crosstrain? What section has hours?

Even I had an open day on the new schedule. Thank goodness the flowtl and etl-log adore me and picked up my last shift. People bitching about why others got more hours, etc. I'm ready to smack the sltms. Bitch I don't care why your whiny ass got 16hrs and I got 40. I get 28.5 a week signing NO MATTER WHAT. Its the special part of the specialist position. I get the rest because I negotiated them when leaving market. Sorry you aren't as coveted and usable to the store. Its taken me years to accumulate the training and knowledge. Oh and I don't annoy the shit out of everyone.

And here I am, begging TMs to take hours. A couple have told me they are getting too many hours... and two or three stores near me asked the district for help because they needed some shifts covered.

But that's for Starbucks/Food Ave, where apparently no one wants to work, despite it being fucking awesome. Several TMs in the rest of the store either already quit or are about to quit because they went from 30+ hours down to ~15.
